I just wanted to ask what Linux distro is best for the PS3... So far I think YDL because it supports all of PS3's features...

If you vote other please say the name of it.

If you can tell us what is the good feature about that OS.

they all are pretty much useless if you want to use anything that requires 3d, until sony relases RSX support, ydl and fedora are both running fedora core 5 so the interface is the choice you're making there, personally i find enlightenment to be too pissy, though gnome aint that great either.

fedora core cant take full advantage of the cell processor as ydl can

Ill have to vote once i find someone who can burn me an install disk. I need a DVD disk to do so correct? I can't load it off a usb device?

Err... you're not listening..
BOTH distro's are using Fedora core 5, both use thw two main cores and the 6 spu's.

And both suck.

actually the six spus are only recognized,just not used.only one of them is used so it can be dual-core.

also they said that around sometime next week the ppl in #gentoo-ppc64 on freenode in irc said there will be a live cd for gentoo on ps3.

Is it going to be possible to develop user drivers for the RSX? I have no intention of using Linux without it, it would be great to play Quake and Counter Strike on it.

well Sony said you wont be able to due to security reasons" so unless they patch whatever "problem(s)" they are having with it,thats a no.
