im on the screen with the two penguins on it,this is what my screen looks like:

/dev/sr0:/ppc/ppc64/vmlinux-ps3: not found
kboot:

and every few seconds it repeats that same thing, im not sure what to type in at kboot

can someone PLEASE help me im afraid im gonna screw up my ps3

you must have dvd w/ program for intall on it in the drive. If it is in the drive then you probably burned it as a data file insted of burning image to disk.

Just keep the power button pressed for 5+ seconds when turning on the PS3. It will boot into the Game OS. I would suggest you to try Linux a bit later.
