Default Problem with MPlayer on Gentoo

I followed the guide on the wiki (since I am new to Gentoo) and it seemed to install just fine.

However, whenever I try to open it (after and before adding the additional commands) it tells me "Command 'gmplayer ' not found".

edit: nevermind, I found the problem

Default Mplayer Video Resolution

I've got another question about Mplayer on Gentoo. How do you go about making the video fullscreen. I just get a small video in the middle of my screen surrounded with black. I tried loading it with different resolutions with -x -y, which, while succeding in making the video full screen, also put vertical green bars throughout my video. My current resolution is 720p, and I'm using Gnome. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you Cyanide. It's amazing how much trouble I've had just from missing one little bit of info or keystroke on everything I've tried to do so far with Linux. If it wasn't for this community, I'd still be trying to install Gentoo lol... So I'd really like to give a big thanks to you, Cyanide, and everyone else for putting up with people like me It's very much appreciated!

I would suggest using VLC.

I had all sorts of video encoding / audio playback issues when using mplayer.

I got VLC up and running quickly in Gnome, and haven't had an issue yet.

I posted the Gentoo commands I used to get VLC up and running here.
