I am trying to install software on Gentoo KDE 3.5, I am a noob, I just want to know how do i do it? I download Gamefu-0.2.beta1-Source.tar.bz2 to my desktop how do I install it?

If you are using Gentoo, just do:

I keep getting a not enough ebuilds error, same thing when I try to install kplayer.

All i get this message when I do emerge -u portage:

* GNU info directory index is up-to-date.
* IMPORTANT: 2 config files in '/etc' need updating.
* Type emerge --help config to learn how to update config files.

Just do etc-update to update the config files.
