I have my ps3 (currently running YDL) hooked up to my home network now, and im trying to figure out how to access my other PC computers(which run XP) on the network. My other computers are on the default windows XP workgroup "MSHOME". I figure that i somehow need to make my ps3 look in that workgroup so it can see the other computers. On my ps3, i opened the desktop 'computer' icon, and then clicked on 'network'. From the new menu I tried renaming it from 'network' to 'MSHOME' but it would let me change it. Im not sure what to do now. I assume other people on this board have gotten their ps3 to view workgroup computer files. How did you guys do it?

in YDL, there is the bar at the top of the screen. Click the folder
from there click network or some ****, and itl show all the lans your using ethernet cables, not wifi right? mine was messed up after default install, once i updated yum to fc4 repos it worked. i did some uber l33t update of yum and then vlc and samba (samba is what you're using to network the ps3 to pc, try googling help for that) |
