Default Resolution incorrectly display on Gentoo?

I cannot seem to change my resolution in Gnome running Gentoo. 4It only shows 1124x644 @ 60 Mhz and no other options. I've tried to modified the xorg.conf but it does not do any good. I am connecting my PS3 through HDMI to my Sony LCD capable of 1366x768. Any one successful configure their LCD? Thanx

This is the limitation of linux video driver for PS3 (ps3videomode), and not Gentoo. There is nothing you can do about it, until Sony releases another driver that supports true 720P / 1080P resolutions.

If your LCD TV does not overscan, then, try video mode 131. It may overscan to where your desktop will reach beyond your TV screen's full dimentions. If so, you're stuck with this fake 720P like the rest of us. The same goes for 1080P. If not, I envy you!

Basically, in your kboot.conf file, you can either add 128 to your desired video mode, and use it that way (video mode 3 (720P) + 128 = 131), or simply add '-f' after 3.
