The network connection is stuck in loopback, and I don't know how to get it to connect to my router. I'm usually pretty good with networking, but I'm new to linux, so...

Anyway, in Network Tools, it's stuck at the usual 127.0.0.1 self address. When I try to change the network device to something besides "Loopback Interface", there's nothing else to choose from. I'm quite confused.

there is no access to wifi yet in linux so far but it is promised in a future update

i asked the same thing but now im just goun to wait til that coms out

It's hardwired to the router, I'm not trying WiFi.

OMFG
You dont have the drivers, try downloading the extras for PS3 DVD, if not, your FC5 is having trouble with recognizing the network card; reinstall.
IMHO get Gentoo, you will like it.
