Default Burning ISO Linux onto a DVD? Help!

Alright so I dl'd the 3.3 gig ISO of YDL 5.0. Now I need to stick it on a storage device so I can but it in my PS3 right? I do that by an ISO recorder...right? Well whenever I use a burning program (Alcohol, ISO Recorder Power Toy, ImgBurn,) to burn the 3.3 ISO on my DVD, it never works or gives me the option to select a medium ("no medium found or I can't click on the burning device). I'm guessing that my computer can only burn CD's, but I thought if you could burn CD's you can also burn DVD's.

Anyway, is there any way I can burn the ISO file onto a USB flash drive or something else? CD's are waayyy toooo small for me to stick the 3.3g YDL ISO on it, and I apparantly can't use DVD's soo.......wtf?

DVDs are in no way the same as CD. The recorded information on DVDs are way smaller than CDs, creating the need for a stronger, more precise laser. Thats way you can the recorded surface better on CDs.

Get an ISO extractor.

So an ISO extracted will allow a 3.3g ISO file to burn on a 700mb CD?

Just buy an external DVD burner and return it to the store after you're done. That's what I did.
