Yeah. On the second time round i checked the controls. Theres this aftertouch thing and you can control the camera with it. So basically, if you swing your pad round whilst killing people, it does it cooler. Pretty awesome.

It was short though, but they probably just wanted to show the graphics and combat. With a game like this, you really need to sit down and play it for a couple of hours to get wowed.

Good though.

I was wondering how short it would be being only at 1GB. I'll probably play through a bunch of times. Anybody read the tips and tricks to the demo?

Anybody have the full list of NA content yet, so I can update the OP? and is the re5 trailer the same one from E3?

The background picture that comes up when you select the demo is great, i want to set it as my proper background but i cant. Wonder if its in the wallpapers thread.

Ill check the RE thing but i dont know what E3 video you mean, i didnt watch a RE E3 video, at least i dont think i did.

The video they showed at E3. It's a new video actually, I just found that out. 1080p trailer in the JPN store. Check the RE5 thread for th new trailer if you cant get to your ps3 ATM.

I didnt like how she rolled when you used the other analogue stick. She rolled the same in every direction. I was expecting a different animation every time. Like a backflip ect.
Her hair was OK. But they should make her eyes more chinky and her skin darker. To give her the sexy look she has in the loading screens.

Im usually good with my grammar, in a hurry looking for impressions of the demo.

Nevada could probably answer this question, but I've been hearing that this demo was from a fairly old build and contains some issues that have been fixed. My next question is why the hell would they not use a newer build to showcase this title?

I'm waiting to hear DeanoC's response to this question in another forum. I'll post the answer, if I find it.

Just got back from playing it and was shocked at how short it was

I knew it was short but damn.....

Anyone else notice the Heavenly Sword wallpapers? Looks like I'll need to start a new section for the wallpapers Sony/devs release.

Its good yeah, but not amazing. Its way too short.

Can't rmember who but someone was asking about getting the one that displays when you scroll to the demo, it's not that picture if they're still wondering. The new walls are nice though. I hope Sony takes advantage of this now that 1.90 is out.

Just played the game again trying not to button mash - The after touch is pretty neat, and the game gets a lot more interesting if you try to use the moves and stances. You can throw those guys hats into the distance on the column fight and use after touch :P

Have you tried throwing the bodies over the side, when the camera zooms back indicating to cut the rope,? You can see pretty much their entire free fall. You can use the after touch on anything you can throw, including enemies. It's kind of funny seeing the bodies flop around while your steering them.

After playing the demo over and over for a while, it really does have a very "playable" combat system. There's a few things that I hope are fixed in the final build (screen tearing when you move the camera, it's pretty bad) but it was fun and the combos and grabs/throws are very impressive. It's a looker too.

The volume increase was because they were 'super styles', however, I did nock them back a bit and do some balancing just a day or so ago.

It's not completely automatic, in that you need to be in the right stance to block the incoming move (or evade for unblockables).
For a NinjaChallenge - try completing the demo ONLY using counter-attacks

HELL mode is available right off the bat, yes.
Bare in mind, that what you're playing now is a level early on in the story, you can scrape through it just by mashing buttons - try that in the later chapters and you'll get your (gorgeous) ass handed to you on a plate...

I heard today that we had to prove to Sony that the game could be completed in Hell Mode... a couple of ninja's managed it I believe. Seems the testers didn't! Hehe.

Naa, that'll be the sun going behind the clouds.

A summary as well:

~ the demo is an old build probably from last years demo since its exactally the same level
~ the game has improved significantly from the demos build
~ many glitches are fixed
~ sound issuses have also been fixed

I found heavenly sword to be pretty boring. I'll stick to ninja gaiden for action fighting.
