I have read that ps1 remote play has been implemented. You are now able to put in "any" (?) ps1 game and play it remotely.

All I want to say is my pirated movies won't play, but anime movies and episodes works. (Hopes saying that doesn't get me banned!) lol
I wonder how they know if the movie is pirated or not
For those who are having problems with Divx/Xvid playback with certain files.
DivX 3.11 doesn't work. XviD encodes using Custom Matrixes don't work.
I just tried an episode of south park and it worked beautifully.
using super video converver, how do i know if it is 3.11 or not? is there an encoder out there that is light fast and only for this? Is there a way to tell if my .avi video/movie is a divX or not? If i download the newest version from divX.com will that help anything (their converter)? I just found out divx cost money??? is xvid better because it is free and i can't pay??? help???Originally Posted by user friendly

Is it possible to play srt files on de ps3, because now it has divx?
I fail to see how it's lame when you can just download it right with the browser. You may have to wait until the download finishes but it really doesn't take any longer than 3 minutes.Originally Posted by xchinamanx
In case you don't know how to download right from the PS3 browser:
It's very easy, you can also download from Gametrailers and IGN. Stellar update.Edit the URL in your PS3 browser by pressing START.

To download this DivX file to your DivX-enabled PS3, you're going to have to edit the video as such:
Then, press start and it will ask you to save.
Yes I am serious. I was able to play a divx file just a little over 3gb. Why don't you try yourself?Originally Posted by rock4christ
I really like being able to play divx on my ps3 than my xbox.
I burnt a movie file that is a little 3gb onto a dvd. The ps3 reads it, but it seems to lags. I put that dvd in the xbox and it played it perfectly. I am guessing that the xbox drive is at a faster speed. It doesn't lags on the ps3 once I copied the file to the hard drive.
Will this update play XViD videos of Heroes found on the nbc and other ones? Really wanna start watching them on my ps3.
so was it a 3gb file on dvd, or on the hdd?Originally Posted by coolie

- Copyright-protected files or files that were encoded by using DivX 3.11 cannot be played. - Files that are 2GB or more cannot be played.
how does that suck....most divx files arent bigger than 2gb
So this update doesnt allow us to watch divx movies/videos off the browser?
Yeah, it sucks.
Not with the plugin (ie: streaming) but if it lets you download it, it will work. I think I'm going to update the op with steps on how to get sites like stage6 to work. If it's gametrailers, just use the wmv 720p download link.Originally Posted by Vee
When transfering an update file from a PSP to PS3 where on the PSP's memory card does the update need to be stored?
