hey guys, sorry to be the human version of the QJ Bot, but you gotta check this out. they finally take the PS3 out of the box.

I don't like it, I really have to say it.

I liked the shiny-ness, the chrome, the actual touch-sensetive panel of the now-old-style PS3.

Because it's cheaper to produce and that's what they need right now. It's kinda sad really.

as of right now, i like my "classic" PS3. all shiny and chrome. with touch sensitivity and all the overall looks. i'll buy this one when i can, check it out, and if i like it with my own eyes, ill keep it. but right now....ehhhhhhh.... i like my current PS3

No PS3 here, but I do like the glossy finish of the original PS3 as well the touch controls. They also removed Linux support, which means it was just a gimmick from the start. What a shame.

I think it looks cool (kinda). But, it only has 2 USB ports, no card reader, no backwards compatibility. and i use that stuff frequently. So ill be keeping my original 60GB PS3.

agreed. my readers and ports are always being used. i like them.

Oh, that's bad. Another thing is that if a person wants to buy a PSP Go for 250$, he can just pay an extra 50$ to buy a PS3. SONY should really reconsider the price of the PSP Go.

Backwards compatibility was gone after the 60gb stopped being made so it should be no surprise that there is none present. As for card readers, other than viewing pictures and video, cards slots weren't really used. I found more people using external HDD's or flashdrives. I'd imagine USB card readers work just as fine too.

As for the finish. I like it. Old school look if you will. No fingerprint or dust collector so I'm chill with that. 2 USB? Other than Rock Band, most games don't go past 2 USB anyway. One can easily buy a splitter for like $7-10.

Theres a video on youtube and there firmware was 2.76. I would assume they can upgrade to 2.80 since thats the latest.

Well ,no backward compatibility definitely IS surprise and BIG disappoitment cause i was waiting for some kind of emulator with new ps3 or firmware after i read some news here on QJ,When i told some people that new ps3 doesnt play ps2 games then they were like "whaaat ? WTF ? why ?" .This is important ,without this Ps3 i only blueray player and ps3 ps1 console.Mp3's i can play on my cellphone not mentioning watching pics.Ps3 is doin less and less ,not everything like this fraudy campaign who doesnt say straight - we dont care about ps2 compatibility because we are sony,doesnt matter that ps2 was most succesfull from all consoles ,this is sony politics go buy new slim ps3 its exactly like previous one but different shape ,WOW amazing sony.Ps3 doesnt have too many good games,ps2 had and compatibility would help a lot in sales.

The reason why ps2 compability hasn't been added back is because Sony wants you to buy a Ps2 for 99 $ / € if you want to play those games
