Default Application: Position of Lead Designer / Project Manager for a 3D PSP Video Game

This application is for the role of Lead Designer and/or Project Manager for a freeware PSP video game being created by Team Duck. If you wish to apply, first read the list of requirements and then send me an email at xigenctgt at yahoo dot com with the subject "Team Duck Application" and detail your abilities and previous experiences. More detail about the specific project will be given at a later time.

Requirements:
-Time & Interest:
These are probably the most important requirements. This is a long term and large project, and the designer needs to do a lot of work which may become time consuming. Ideally, the applicant should be willing to work a minimum of 5 hours per week over the course of 6 months.

-Communication Skills:
The applicant must be able to communicate with other designers, artists, and programmers and keep other team members both interested and working. The applicant needs to remain in contact with team members and groups within the team and also be able to look for additional team members if needed in the course of the project.

-Design Skills:
This is probably the least important requirement, however the applicant must be able to come up with a game design and write both a game treatment and then eventually a game design document detailing every aspect of the game. The applicant must also work with both programmers and concept artists in the initial game design.

Wow I haven't been on these forums forever. Well I would do it but I would think you would want someone who still has a working psp.
And what is lizard king getting all emotional about?

@Anti-QJ, this is NOT for a programming position, design and project manager (yes, in the real world, there are actual design positions).

Theres more to designing a game than throwing ideas at a programmer...

You need to design every aspect of the game, from what people will say in the game, to how to struture the menus, and how everything looks.

Theres alot to game designing, it might be worth a good read to google some info for it.

yes, its one of the jobs, I think may be harder than programming. At least for me, and at least when I think of professional games.

I might be interseted in this project depending on. What your offering me.

I ain't interseted in having credit for the project. I want some kind of reward.

Prefer money. But willing to work out a deal.

The part that concerns me that they want someone to be a lead designer AND a project manager which is two full time positions.

Who is already on the team (programmers, artists, sound engineers etc)?

No Gravity is being developed by a french team of professional developers wanting to port the game to as many platforms as possible. (so im told)

This unannounced project is beind developed by members of team-duck. (Slasher, youresam, etc., well, i can only assume the members of team-duck as it implies it a little)
