Here is a call for any developers willing to take part (indirectly) into OE firmware development.

If you are willing to help OE development, you may code a specific OE plugin, if the plugin is useful and coded properly (and of course bug free) it may be implemented into the next OE firmwares and you will be credited for your work in the OE firmware's readme.

Here are the requirements:

-The plugin has to be coded into prx form.
-The sources must be provided, either publically or privately to me (Mathieulh) or Dark_Alex.
-The plugin must NOT be GPL (because OE is a closed source project, thus implementing GPL code in it might cause legal issues).
-You must give us the approval to use your code in OE.
-The name and description of your plugin must be mentionned/posted in this very thread.
-Your code may be modified to improve it's compatibility with the OE firmwares.

Of course we will chose what code to implement.

That way you may participate in OE development by another mean than just using the plugin system.

Its not as hard as you guys think to make a plugin. That PMF player in the XMB, ive never messed with PMF player before, but i know hte source to one is released, and you can write each frame of the pmf to vram directly, so it shouldnt be impossible... This is just guessing, id like to know how you did it.

this is getting off topic.......... and some ppl are pretty selfish but thats not the point is: PRX MAKE 4 OE

(also./... y are u afraid of flaming? If u get flamed so wat? Its gonna kill u? Obviously u are gonna get flamed, but they have absolutly no rite to flame u unless u did something ilegal.pmf players arent illegal (by my knowledge). If anyone flames u its either they got nothing better to do or they find something is wrong with your program and overexaggerate the problem by typing in caps and saying that you suck.....if thats all ur afraid of then wow..)

I dont really have that much experience with prx development but what Im sure we would all like to see is some kind of prx that would allow for more supports of video formats in the xmb. just mpeg4 is kinda of annoying especially when you download videos straight from the internet to your psp browser. almost all videos eveywhere are .wmv and mpeg and a couple avi. But if someone wants to participate in this but doesnt have an idea theres one.

The ability to use USBHostFS to read files from your PC in the various XMB plugins would be nice. I've been working on this for a while but ran into a huge roadblock - mainly that it seems not to load file listings or data properly for everything but the RSS channel.

Oh yah me too man, I almost done with my fullspeed with sound N64 emu, just gotta refine the interface of the main menu options because its not looking good at all...
