I've been working on a game for RPG Maker 2000 for...years...and the popularity and use of the program has pretty much died so I'm wasting my time using it...even though I am proficient. Early yesterday I spontaneously decided to try out this...LuaDevKit thing...and using my currently knowledge of Python and Basic......and algorithms (I've only been using *real* programming for a few months) it has been pretty easy to figure out the basics.
Requesting help for the following:
I want to get System.sleep(milliseconds ) to actually pause and not completely STOP the program forever.
I've been testing skill use and when the circle button is pressed/held it drains SP...I only want it to drain 1...
Here is a screenshot of it actually running using the screen capture plugin for PSP:
Spoiler for RPG Maker 2000 Version:
I started making this yesterday and so far it has:
-Full movement/animation making it act identical to Rm2k.
-Attack functionality (Monster moves 50 pixels away from hero at this point...but is otherwise static)
-Monster Collision and Damage
-Fully functional HUD
PS: The bottom digits are the hero XY...I used it to map wall collisions.
