All firmwares that run homebrew, that is.
...well, it says more in the readme.

...I just hope I haven't forgotten anything. I feel like I have.

I really like the new changes you added, especially the full zoom option. great program, thats for sure. an option that i'd like to see in the next release is how the page lines up, as in it starts on the right side of the page instead of the left. like when you read manga, you start on the right panel, but with american comics, its on the left.

Yay! The resampling really helps with making text readable! Thanks for this!

So, can this read from multiple folders in a zip/rar?

It doesn't separate them into separate folders, if that's what you mean. It views the archive as one big folder. I've never seen it done any way else.

What does that have to do with the proposed method of reading a zip/rar internal filesystem...?
This is more about having one archive contain multiple comic books...

Will smoothing be added? When being scaled down from a larger image, the text becomes a little unreadable....

-Found a bug, if you launch PSPComic and ms0:\comics\ does not exist, it crashes.
-You should also hard code the credits into the eboot, the way you have set it right now makes it all too easy for someone to rip your work later on.
-I'm also not noticing any change when I toggle the resizing filters. Is there a big difference between the two?
-Jump to page: It sorely needs a "jump 10 entries" button. Scrolling through 100 entries to find page X with the dpad takes a lot of time. Assign it to analog?

Just tried it out and there are some significant positive changes from the last release.

The only kind of "bug" I noticed was with the sensitivity of the analogue, it's too high and keeps on going downwards if you move it slowly down.

Other than that it is a great release I can actually read a comic and I do notice a difference between the resizing filters. The blurry one is almost perfect but its too slow to use for now.

Keep it up people if you continue like that your first non beta release will kick ass!

I woke up thinking about that and realized "oh crap, I forgot to test that!"

It's open source. They could just modify the source.

You have to switch pages before it kicks in.

Ah, I was going to do that for L and R. I'll get on that.

I guess I could add adjustable analogue stick sensitivity, but that would be much harder.

It's probably not going to get any faster. Just remember, there is an overclock option.

No worries about the sensitivity of the analogue, it's not that important anyway.

Yes I used the 333 mhz. If the nice looking filter is not going to get any faster, Is the faster one going to look better?

i don't have much time to work on it so how about some teamwork?

The fastest one will never look better without getting slower. The slower one is about as fast as it can get (I think I can make it a little faster, at the cost of a little accuracy).

GREAT!
now is almost near perfect.

-only missed a bookmarking metod (when quit from reading save the current page and when the comic is opened again jump automatically to that page)

-configurable buttons or use -X- (not select) to switch from original resolution and fitted and -triangle- for and OSD menu with various percentage of resolution

Why are the jpeg images(comics) that I have showing up flawlessly in Pep-viewer not even recognized in your comic-viewer?

Its because this app supports ready made compressed comics.Compress your comics with winrar and add extension .cbr instead of .rar and they will work.

Archaemic. No please, no more accuracy sacrifice

It's because this program uses SDL_image, and I have no clue about what PeP-Viewer uses.

On the topic of resizing: I tried to make it faster, and there was no noticeable speed gain, but, for some reason, there were a lot of brightly colored spots. That's NO good!

By the way. v0.9.6 is almost done (that was fast), which fixes the crash bug, and adds the option to go five options at a time on the menu. As a result, I had to rewrite the scrolling code, and right now, it's not working very well.
Hopefully it'll be done by tomorrow or so.

This release kicks all sorts of ass. I've been wishing for a reader for the PSP that did cbr and cbz files. I was sick of having two versions of each comic in my digital archive. I can't wait for the next version. Keep up the great work!

Probably not. Everyone else just realized there was no point in posting that they didn't read comics here.

ANYWAY, 0.9.6 is almost done. It had another crash bug when scrolling up (didn't affect 0.9.5 or below), and I think I've ironed that out now. If so, it should be ready for release.

The keep of state remembers the zoom level if you go to the next/prev page. The zoom level of the current page is applied to the next/prev page.

How exactly should bookmark be implemented? One total bookmark that gets loaded automatically when the program is opened? Any number of bookmarks that the user can jump to from the menu? I don't know. I've never used a bookmark feature in a comic book reader, so I'm asking the users how they want it done.

Bookmarks: Every cb (based on name.cbz) will have its own independent bookmark. Upon opening cb, browser opens the latest bookmarked page.
Bookr has a great implementation of bookmarks, it supports multiple bookmarks per text file.
