Default Has Anyone Tried Modding the PSP Camera to Support More Megapixels?

I'm just wondering if any hardware devs and modders have tried opening up the PSP camera to increase the megapixel capacity. I think it'd be an interesting project and I was just wondering if it's already been done or at least attempted. Anyway, thanks in advance for any replies.

I was pretty sure the sensor in the camera is only capable of 1.3 MP which is a hardware restriction, I guess it might be theoretically possible to solder maybe a new sensor in, but I'd doubt it would work with the board/ software

What is the point of that?

If you want higher rez, get a camera!

I am pretty sure that it is impossible to add higher rez to the PSP camera.

Highly doubtful that will ever happen.

Not possible. If it were the image quality would actually decrease. Sure there'd be more pixels, but the picture would be full of noise.
