i got new idea and concept for someone who interested to coding psp shell... i don't have any knowledge in programming (i know simple c++) and i didn't make this idea based on my imagination but i refer the possibility based on previous homebrew (mypspshell, irshell, file assistant, devhook guimod, etc)...

okay. the idea is same like irshell and cpasjuste mypspshell, we got main window with separate process (game homebrew, music, save data, photo, file manager)... let say click R/L trigger to change window and each window have different background (it is possible, in cpasjuste shell, he already make this concept)... so basically we should have
1. game/homebrew
-including psone/homebrew or maybe umd
-make it like a list same like other shell for exact example mypspshell/irshell
2. photo
3. music
-just a list same like irshell, no need a layout, it mean music will play in background and control playback with button
4. video
-maybe not, i think there are no prx for video playback - correct me if i'm wrong
5. file manager
-this is really handy application for psp shell.

-about the font, im not sure maybe we can use ttf font like TheBuzzer devhook guimod or use bmp image like fileassistant...

this is what i can think... this is totally full of graphic/background...

coding text without any background

actual layout with background, each windows will use different background (for this example game and music window)

so, is it really possible to make it?... if someone interested and want to use this idea, please do and if someone want to make a new shell and want me to help with layout plz tell me^_^...

well sounds great, but what new features do you have in mind?

i've got some features in mind:
- Filemanger(ms0, flash0, Flash1, usb)
- Musicplayer (mp3, ogg, wma, wav, at3) maby you can at a streaming program to it
- Movieplayer(it's very hard I think)
- Play-Games-over-usb(psp and ps1 games)
- Wifi and IR file sender

the concept is cool, I like the second and third one, maby you can make one in blue? or you just let choose there own color

But this is a GOOD request

I like it, except for the menu text. Have you taken a look at dotOS? Graphics like those for a menu = instant win.

Like, the XMB even uses graphics for navigation, not much, but theyre still there. Text navigation is so 90's.

I believe he said something like he was releasing it winter of 2007 and that it would be a complete XMB replacement.
