Default [WIP]Luanux (windowing system) (R2)

Current release: Alpha R2
It's a windowing system I made. Fairly versatile, doesn't have all the flashy crap LuaX does but I'm tryinng keep it lightweight so I can make a decent OS-like shell with it.

For other people who want to go ooh ahh at it ok that's great and suggestions are welcome.

Progress update as of 6/26/07: Check http://luanux.psptuts.net for info on progress including a wifi system and a keyboard.

Any other lua devs wanting more insight on how it works feel free to ask me and I'll explain more crap than the documentation has if you're interested in making stuff to run inside the windows.

Anyone who want's to do graphics for it feel free to ask and I'll feel free to say no since everything in it except tux's head and the background are generated by the program.

Neat.
Too bad LuaX was canceled, though.

Themes are a matter of editing the settings.txt, mypsp type thing will be a window in the future, although a full themes system would be a good idea

Well, I know the wifi functions fairly well, I could probably try something like that, if not I could at least make an application manager that lets you go online and DL applications for the shell

Or something like Ubuntu's built in package manager and updates could be done as well. Probably be added over the next few releases,

(youresam is working on a real one, thats like way out of my league/care to figure out how to do limit)

A text-based browser is quite possible but one that renders stuff probably won't come from me.

Tactical, in case you didn't notice, Anti-QJ is just trying to spam your thread, just ignore him and he might shut up.
Oh, and that web browser is on extreme hiatus.

Nope. I see no reason to learn C++ when everything I've wanted to do with programming can be done with Lua. And memory management seems tedious to me.

By the way, the "I don't want to look stupid using ubuntu" was referring to the fact the Xfacter told me that only noobs use ubuntu.

impressive TP... but whats the point to having a windowing system really?

-lua cant multitask
-psp cant handle very much
-knowing that, lowser's system seems like the best solution. run one app, have a quick exit, and launch another.

i dont mean to put this project down but... it just looks to me like this wouldnt be efficient.
