Is there any update for MODO?
Is there any update for MODO?
I am sorry, development is at halt at the moment. I recently bought me a used car (Pontiac Firebird) which needs my full attention atm.
Wbb, congratulations for your car, and do you plan port Modo for 3.x kernel?
Very interesting release, excellent player! Are you planning to release the source code?
It would be nice to have the source code if someone wants to work on it, or if some day we need to recompile this because of another psp exploit ;)
Thanks in advance
Or port it to 3.x kernel - I only use 1.50 Add-on because of MODO.Quote:

You can now download modo for firmware 3.xx, I added download URL to first post. Or just click here to download Modo for firmware 3.xx.
No new stuff added since last release from October 14, 2007. Only a few tweaks to get it go on firmware 3.xx.
Thanks for that
Very thanks for support the 3.xx kernel:tup:
A new release
Can you implement .med and .wma audio file?
Thanks!!! You are great!!!
Added MP3 support with limited lyric support, see first post or readme.txt for details and for download links.
Wicked, now I will have to go and hunt for my old fave mod between.mod (Between the eyes) :).
Thanks again wbb. Your program is ever plus complete:tup:Quote:

Can you implement one volume up and down via D-pad?
Thx again for your work.
I will add different levels of volume boost, but it will just overamplify in most cases, best is to use some external amplifier.
The .med support is something I can't improve much more, I already hacked the mikmod library to make .med support better. It plays now a few more, but .med support is not to good overall. You can send me your .med which is not working and I check it out.
And MiniPSF? Can you implement it?
Game Music Emu v0.1 a port of Shay Green's (aka Blargg) Game Music Emu library for the PSP - can play it. Maybe you can contact the author and get a few tips to add support for it.

One of my fav apps for PSP. Never leaves the mem stick...really nice work.
I updated to 3.90 m33, and the screen stoped working. Evertything else seems to be there because if I press randomly the buttons sometimes I can hear my modules playing so it seems to be just a screen issue.
I hope you can fix it when you have the time...I'll be eagerly awaiting for the next release :)
I installed the previous version (Jan 21) and it worked.
Thanks soooo much for writing this module player..i
really enjoy protracker music!
i have noticed that the directory scanning function to be abit of a nusance..i put the path of my music directory in modo.cfg (the directory has 300 modules in it) when modo starts it shows a blank screen for 1 minute (its scanning the directory but nothing is on the screen) then the interface pops up and it scans the directory again..this takes another minute..then i hit the square button and it scans the directory one more time to build the playlist and this also takes 1 minute...so its 3 minutes after i start modo before any music actually plays.
i was thinking of placing a few thousand modules on my memstick...id hate to think how long it would take to scan then!
im wondering if you could put some new options in the
1: turn the directory scanning on/off
2: an option to just Play Directory (or Playlist if modo is
given the ability to save a playlist) on Start
and bypass the whole file selection process
3: Shuffle on/off (i love the shuffle feature and would like
it to default to on)
Cheers and thanks again for coding an oldskool music player!! :Punk:
Uploaded a new version, only minor changes, see first post for download links.
Thanks for all suggestions and comments:
Hope the new version fixes it. If not please pm me.
I look into it, but I can not promise anything.
I did a test with 300 modules and it scanned it in 10 seconds. I don't know why it takes so long for you (maybe depends on memory stick). It does not scan it three times, before the first screen it just loads some resources. I did a few tweaks to the scanning but it will not make a big difference I think. Maybe seperate the module files into multiple sub folders to speed loading: modules/rock modules/retro mp3/album1 etc. I try to add more options for modo.cfg in next version.
Tnx Wbb for the new update.
Wbb, is there any news in modo?
Sorry, not much news.
Just a bug fix release.
I'm very happy to see a new release, this homebrew is one of the best available for PSP.
I'have posted the news in home.:Punk:
Do you think you could post some mod files for games like Zelda?
Or is it illegal to post em?
Best is to visit Zophar Videogame Music Archive:
From there you can download Zelda Music for the Gameboy, NES and SNES. These can be played by Modo.
Nice looks sweet, i'm going to try it out now!
Thanks for the links :p
Thanks wbb, your program is one of very few that I feverishly look for updates too. Its just too awesome!
One question: is it possible to include zip support? If not, maybe reduce searching for compatible formats? I have about 500 MB of music spanning 4 consoles, and it takes a good 2-3 minutes to navigate to the songs that I want. Otherwise, rock solid! :D
