This can only be run from 3.40* LE or 3.40* v2. It contains all of the v2 updates, plus a nice fix. If you're still on 3.40* LE, you DON'T have to update to v2 first; just run this and you'll be caught up.

Fixed in version 3:
* Fixed the glitch that kept power saving options from working.

Fixed in version 2:
* Removed non-functional File Manager option in the Recovery menu
* In recovery, detects ms0:/PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP and only launches it if it exists
* Fixed problems that kept UMDs from loading properly
* Added support for %__SCE__/__SCE__ homebrew naming style
* Re-enabled the use of GAME150 and GAME340, though you *DO NOT* need them.

If you run into any other glitches, please, let us know on MaxConsole or QJ; we use the name Wildcard on both sites. We can only fix what we hear about or find ourselves!

This still isn't what we'd like to call a "proper" release because it's just bugfixes to a rushed release, but it's much better than the first one!

A note to anyone having problems with the PSP not starting after you install for the first time; go into Recovery and disable all of your plugins. It's a problem with our plugin system, we're sorry :'( We'll fix it in a new flasher soon.

Thinking about switching, but I have a question first. Does Remote Play via internet work with this firmware? I have m33's firmware right now, but every time I open my web browser and try to type something into the address bar my PSP freezes. It seems like anytime I try to input text it freezes so I'm wanting to switch to something else. I thought that it might have just been a bad install or something so I recovered my PSP back to v1.50 and then reinstalled m33's 3.52 and the same thing happened. So yeah, I'm ready for something else, I would just really like to be able to use my PSP for Remote Play via internet though.

this firmware is pretty cool.......i installed it and im glad that wildc*rd is updating and fixing the bugs rather quickly

....i would like to know if anybody has any information on 3.51 IE.......i was looking around at custom firmwars and found it and i don't know what it is really.....is it just like OE's or what?

Awsome job guys, but I cant play games though usb, im assuming because of the in XMB recovery. is there a way to disabe the XMB recovery, or mabey incorperate usbhost into the XMB recovery?? Thanx, keep up the good work!!!

Follow the directions in the readme from the installer thead. Iso talk is not permitted but you can use ISOs just as you did in 3.40OE. After upgrading to 3.40LE apply the v3 patch to apply bugfixes and other features.

in the XMB the when accesing registry hacks and changing the [ENTER] button to X or O it wont change until its changed in the recovery menu accessed when doing a cold boot.

aslo when exiting some (legit) ISO the psp freezes and you have to do a cold boot. this is some of the bugs that i've come across will be back with another with more as i find them.

Wicked firmware though nicely done with XMB recovery menu.

The X/O and other registry settings are only loaded when the VSH is loaded, i.e. on a cold boot or when you exit a game/homebrew/etc. Dunno if that can even be tweaked while it's running...

and there's no such thing as a legit iso...

Hey guys, I just got my psp a few hours ago and I’m trying to cut some corners here from doing a lot of digging around by asking you experts this Question.
So my psp came pre installed with 2.71 SE-C, and trying to upgrade it to this release is giving me a 80020148 - PRX type unsupported error, I also got a TA-080 so I can’t downgrade to 1.50 or it will brick.
What’s my best option here to get this baby upgraded ?

NVM, i found my problem, had to set it to 1.50 in the recovery menu, it was on 2.71
and use the 1.5 upgrader and not the custom upgrader

umm... ANY PSP can go to 1.50 now... TA-079, TA-080, TA-081, TA-082, TA-086... etc. So long as it's on 3.50 or below.

my favy downgrader is the 3.03 one alto ive not used the 3.50 one coz i cant get an unpatched lumines and i havent needed to yet and ive done 9 psp's ???????????? lol 3.03 is all mobo aswell
