Looking great so far
![]() A few things could be polished a little, like the flame particle effect (lasts a bit too long for the size of the player ship). Small pet peeves really, the mechanics seem fine ^^

Sorry theres been no updates recently... I'm caught up with work, and COD4 on my ps3
. I'll try and get this update rolled out asap!My main focus right now is optimizations to the code. I want to push the PSP as far as I can, so I can get as many triangles as possible rendered with a full 60fps being maintained. |

K, I've updated the build to #5 now.
Jeeze, I have no idea whats changed from #4, all I can say is 'alot' has changed. Few things off the top of my head - Earth/moon combo - Powerup pick-upable - New enemy - Map GUI - Lots of optimizations to the code - Tweaked some things here and there http://slasher.team-duck.com/Development/Asterz/ |

I've been working on the particle engine alot lately and have managed to get it looking waaay better than before.

Nice on Slasher.Let me find my PSP and I'll try it out, I really like the progression of this.Your going really fast and these are good releases nice one.I hope I could code as well as you.
--EDIT-- I like the new Particle effect smoother less bright really cool.

For anyone that remembers this, or for anyone that wants to get involved, check it out HERE. I'm starting work on this again and have already improved it quite a bit.
"I've been working like crazy for the past few days and have pretty much gutted the core code completely. I completely erased all of the weapon code and redid it from scratch, I completely redid the particle engine by using the TEDGE team-duck particle engine, I added makeshift anti-aliasing(not seen in these screenshots, so things are actually smoother and not jaggity), and I did countless other revisions to optimize things better and more efficiently. In addition to this, I've also added GU lighting so things look much more defined and better as opposed to what it used to look like." hmm, can i ask how you accomplished the smoke trail on the ships(is it generated real time, or just an image fading out?(looks like image to me, but just wanted to know)), also looks nice, very nice=-)
