awsome, great to hear you like it guys. what do you think of how the controls? they're not to bad for fills i reckon but i dont think this is going to get much attention from non drummers.
i just updated it to 1.5 not a big change. i had a bit of a muck up sound wise not being able to find the cymbals i wanted so its only got one new cymbal but its better than nothing. check out the first post for updated readme and link. |

yeah this will be fun for non drummers too i guess.. about the control, i was thinking maybe you could switch the R button (cymbals) to the face buttons (X) and the floortom to the R button, since you're hitting more cymbals than floortom, but thats just me tho and im not so sure about it haha.. off course there's some limitation on the psp button map but still you did a good job..

yeah, i originally had the snare on the L button and it wasnt to bad but with the toms and snare set up it kind of fells like a kit if you get what i mean. how you can easily change drum by them being next to each other and they cycle round easy. lol i dont know what im on about. anyone got any ideas or suggestions that i could add in future releases?
-= Double Post =- im going to change the sounds for 2.0. some people(or should i say one person) are saying they are not very good. i dont think they are as good as they could be either so im going to head out on a search loli plan on adding in a menu for next release i just gotta figuere out how to program it. lol Last edited by Xsjado7; 09-27-2007 at 04:58 PM.. Hi, sorry for my bad English
Xsjado7 i love VDrum, it's perfect for improvise rims in street with friends. I've created an VDrum "mini-mod" for 1.0 and 1.5. New skins and sounds. V1.0 ![]() V1.5 ![]() You can download it from here: http://rapidshare.com/files/58749965...eluxe.rar.html Some Questions: It's no possible to bind each button as a sound?, ej up for one sound, triangle for other... I need more sounds!! Sound's file names can be changed better if they have names like "R-Sound.wav", "Circle-Sound.wav", etc... Same as for PNG Files Maybe in a future version we'll can have "drumkits"? and VDrum will can open different drumkits? Only some ideas!! Regards and thanks for VDrum! Cristian |

dude, your a legend. i had been looking for a good picture for a while but resorted to paint
and thanks for the ideas. i had a similiar request for the different button set up by someone else on another forum. i have the controls set up the way they are because i fell that they are the easiest way to play. its easy to do fills and beats but i might look into assigning your own buttons. thats a big might due to the fact that i have only recently started programming in C and are still getting used to it. check your PM inbox

@ro0kie42
i think the sound of the bass is better on CristianDeluxe's Mod.. @Xsjado7 uhm may i suggest that we use the analog stick to change the open/close hihats or off/on of snare, etc instead of the combination buttons? coz its really hard to change it using the combination buttons... |

lol i found VDrum 1.0 on dl.qj on its first release but not the 1.5 one..
so i wonder if there is an update on it and then *poof* i found this using the search button hehe.. Well its great that this homebrew is still being updated.. Btw I have another idea.. can VDrum be made like PSP revolution? Like the ones you see in the Arcades? it could be cool.. ![]() EDIT: here check this.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DrumMania |

hey everyone, i havent been on very much lately and i havent got much work done on 2.0 yet but its not really far away in turms of development, not time. the thing is that iv just started playing in the band at my youth and at school i have a few performances/practices coming up so i was wondering if everyone wanted me to release what i have at the moment or to wait for me to finish 2.0. i have no idea how far away 2.0 is but what i have so far is - open and close hats with analog stick, all new graphix and all new sounds but i can also the ability to play guitar loops/tracks in the background, add the rimshot sound and maybe screenshots if it works under 3.xxCFW pretty easily. in 2.0 im planning on implementing a menu so you can get rid of all the mucking around with button combinations. so what does everyone want? a half done update right now or a more full update that could be a while away?

First of all I'd like to thank you for this fun program of yours. I too am a drummer and it is a blast to mess around with VDrum.
I'd like a version 1.75 with the current adjustments released if you don't mind (mainly for the analog nub change). I can understand if you don't want to release it though. As for future options an adjustable metronome (click track) would be a dream come true. Another sweet thing would be a record function. Please keep in mind that I know not of programming and therefore have no clue how difficult and/or possibly unrealistic my ideas are. Anyhow, thanks a bunch for this. |

yep.. a version 1.75 release might be good too..*wink*
EDIT: btw Xsjado7, why a menu instead of the analog stick? can it be done on the analog stick? like: up analog - open or close the hihats left analog - on and off the snare right analog - crash or splash cymbals its like, when the snare is on, making the analog to the left would make it off and making it to the left again would make it on again.. something like that.. and is it possible that you can add a loop of the hihats? and a menu for adjusting the tempo? Like .A.J., I have no clue how difficult and/or possible unrealistic these ideas are... Last edited by dcae; 10-16-2007 at 09:26 PM.. |

hey everyone, 1.7 is finished, you can find the download link on the first page. i havent hadd time to test this so its kind of beta'ish lol so if you could report any bugs that would be great. the only bug i know is that if you hold the analog stick right, up or down for a few seconds he game will freeze. hope you guys enjoy it!

wow thanks!
edit: i just played it. i like it a lot (still), but the sounds aren't that loud; my psp is on full blast and it's not as loud as i like it. i think i'm going to use audacity and up the volume a bit. Last edited by ro0kie42; 10-19-2007 at 12:37 AM.. |
