lol we ain't seen you in a bit got any future developments in mind?
Besides rev4?
Well, at first I just wanted to check out devvin' on the iPhone a bit - but instead of doing so I got burried in work and ideas from my boss....
I finally managed to dig myself out *lol* and finally put some features in the Pandora Installer I wanted to have for a long time now....
Waiting impatiently for Utopia to go public, see what I can do with/for that :)
And currently in planning stage for a recovery flasher (downgrade/restore semibrick directely from the recovery menu, w/o needing a Pandora for that).
Giving that old "Lauch EBOOT at /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY" option an actual function again :)
Awesome that sounds great. Hope fully utopia kernal goes live soon!Zitat:

Look forward to future releases!
Also date for rev4 release?
I think beginning of next week.
There's a few tiny details I like to polish, do some more testing and such.
I general, everything you can see on the screenshot is already working fine :)
If DDCv6 will be released this or next week, I'd like to already include that one, if not I'll stick to DDCv4 and make a R4a once DDCv6 sees the light of day.
'cause I never d/l'ed DDCv5, started the feature based on DDCv4 and am too lazy to change it to DDCv5 now - even more looking at a somwhat possible release of DDCv6 anytime.... this year :D
Once DDCv6 is out, I'll replace v4 with that one.
Hey Hellcata, do you think that sometime some1 will find a way to pandorize batteries under the newer mother-boards?
Because Sony stopped shipping the old mo-bo's long time ago.
That's a good question.... So far noone found a thing, I'm afraid....
Oh, and another thing.... :) Can anybody please take a look at the screenshot I posted and tell me if youre happy/unhappy with the new menu, esp. it's structure.... :)
I just got a few imputs from someone to make it a bit more "sleek" again, will post screens as soon as I got some changes done :)
liked ur releases since the intro of this product. u work hard le arning lol thanks
hmm they look good
i cant really decide
the first one looks cool
the second looks cool too
If I use my friends fat psp to convert memory stick and battery to pandora stuff, then i put it into my slim will it work? and are the battery sizes the same (will fat battery fit in slim?)
and if not, how should I do it for my slim?
Fat battery in Slim PSP works, yes. It's a bit tight, but works.
The other way round - Slim battery in Fat PSP - is a NO-GO tho!
Pandorizing a Slim battery itself is also fine.
Will it work on 4.01m33 and 3.90m33?I try the rev2(rev3 download link doesn't work) when i was try to format and do something it said Error while initializing 0x8ca10002 and it just said installing firmware to memeory plz wait........... about 30min already nothing
Rev2 is ancient *lol* and had flaws.... yes. this will work on 3.90-M33 and 4.01-M33 :)
I tried unbricking and everything works until it reaches the part, "RUN PROGRAM AT /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP". When i pressed it, an error appears stating "Error 0x8025" and then my psp shuts down. Can help me out with this? I've tried using 2 different computers multiple times for this but its still not working. Help pls?
after i do the pandora battery stuff, how do I install custom firmware? or is that asking too much?
and should I buy a new mem stick and battery or move the files from my psp to desktop pandorize then back?
Here is a guide for 4.01m33:tup:
R4 will be able to install DDC (currently v4, once it get's released v6).
It can also install the TimeMachine IPL - which is small enough to not need to reformat (that's why DDCv5 doesn't need it as well AFAIK).
Right now it can not convert the MSIPL.BIN to propper TM format to be launchable from the TM IPL, but that might be added in a future release (4a, maybe).
The propperly prepared Pandora stick already installs a CFW.
You can then update to the most recent one, if you like.
*** UPDATE *** UPDATE *** UPDATE ***
Revision 4: ( 15.07.2008 )
- - added a new menu system for more easy navigation of all available options
(I ran out of buttons for new functions *lol*)
Usage should be a bit more easy now, less confusion....- - added option to install TimeMachine IPL to the MemStick
(the IPL is build in, not required to have it as file on the MemStick)- - added option for installing a DDC stick! ("Desparter Del Cementario", or however it's spelled ;-) )
Now you can finally make a MagicStick with this app that also works perfectly on the Slim and
installs a recent CFW! :-)
No need for any additional tools or setups.
(3.40 module extraction based on M33's PSARDumper)- - added option to modify a DDC MagicStick to launch ELF-Menu, instead of the original
DDC ressurection.elf - already presupplied with NAND-Tool (propperly set up) and the
original ressurection to be launched from the menu.
For all you maintanance needs :-)- - It now looks for the 1.50 updater under "150.PBP", no longer under "UPDATE.PBP"!
- - The required updater .PBPs are checked on startup and missing ones a are noted in a warning at the bottom of the mainscreen
*** UPDATE *** UPDATE *** UPDATE ***
Enjoy! :)
Having a small problem here.
I got everything set up right. Everything works according to plan, except when I go to create the pandora battery I get the "> Battery Pandorized" message, and the serial changes, but when I reboot the PSP, either the same one or a separate one, no menu appears and when I go back to the installer the serial is back to what it was before.
Sorry if this has been mentioned, but if so you can just link me to the answer post instead of having to explain it. ;)
What kind of battery do you have?
Maybe you got one that can't be patched.... (i.e. parts of EEPROM are readonly/writeprotected)
Did it work before?
I've never tried to use it before.
I have the Sony 3.6v, 1800 mAh.
It's the one that came with the psp, I believe.
By the way it's a fat PSP, if that helps.
Are you going to update your Extended Bootmenu to work with TM? I'd die if you did. Best pandora menu ever.
More on topic, nice update. Going to hold onto this one in case I ever need to install Pandora stuff to a friend's PSP.
Quoted from ur above readme, I did not found those two lines in the /kd/pspbtcnf.txt, do I add it on my own?Zitat:
- Open /kd/pspbtcnf.txt on your memstick
- Find the line "%%/kd/extprxs.elf" and change it to "# %%/kd/extprxs.elf"
(i.e. add the # in front)
- Find the line "# %%/vsh/module/vshmain.prx" and chage it to "%%/vsh/module/vshmain.prx"
(i.e. remove the # in front)
Thanks.
i get this message at the bottom of the page :
"! error 0x800200D9 loading/starting kstuff.prx."
i'v see you src :
main.c at l896
mod = pspSdkLoadStartModule("ks tuff.prx", PSP_MEMORY_PARTITION_KERN EL);
so i can't pandorize i can't create DDC etc...
except that it's a very beautifully hombrew ^^
edit : my config
PC : WinXP sp2
PSP : Slim 4.01M33
MS : official Sony 2Gb
That link works fine. Here's a mirror. If you don't want one up then PM me Hellcat.
Hi !
I have tested the new version of "hellcat pandora installer" , revision 4, and I make all procedures to make the pandora battery.
After message "battery pandorized" , i restart my psp with the pandorized battery and nothing appears on the screen (black screen), the light of power appears green (on), but not on the screen.
My psp its the Slim model , with the 4.01m33 firmware, and I was making a test with the new installer, but I stop in this black screen. What I am making of made a mistake? (I had sucess with old version rev3).
PS. Sorry for badly English =)
i love that itll make a DDC right away
good job! :D
although i was wondering why a dc4 and not a dc5?
@Slack;
Double check you didn't forget any step, what IPL did you install on the memstick?
Also make sure to install DDC, not classic Pandora.
Weird, looks you're running out of memory IIRC.... gotta check the errorcode again....
Even more weird, since your setup is almost similar to my testing one....
Are you running any plugins in gamemode?
Hehee, simple ;)
I never downloaded DDCv5 for myself to use, so when I started adding that function all I had was v4.
And once it started working I stuck to "never change running stuff" :D
Using rev4 and getting the same problem as Slack now...
At least on my fat PSP. When I put it into the slim the light turns green for a second then cuts back off.
Sweet update!
Ill test it out :)
