    ========================= ===================

    LAST UPDATEs:

    Revision 4b: (27.08.2008)
Small updates of the stuff that gets installed :)
    • - replaced DDCv6 with DDCv7
    • - replaced ELF-Menu v0.3 with v0.4

    Revision 4a: (12.08.2008)
    • - added DDCv6 installation

    Revision 4: (15.07.2008)
    • - added a new menu system for more easy navigation of all available options
(I ran out of buttons for new functions *lol*)
Usage should be a bit more easy now, less confusion....
    • - added option to install TimeMachine IPL to the MemStick
(the IPL is build in, not required to have it as file on the MemStick)
    • - added option for installing a DDC stick! ("Desparter Del Cementario", or however it's spelled ;-) )
Now you can finally make a MagicStick with this app that also works perfectly on the Slim and
      installs a recent CFW! :-)
No need for any additional tools or setups.
(3.40 module extraction based on M33's PSARDumper)
    • - added option to modify a DDC MagicStick to launch ELF-Menu, instead of the original
DDC ressurection.elf - already presupplied with NAND-Tool (propperly set up) and the
original ressurection to be launched from the menu.

For all you maintanance needs :-)
    • - It now looks for the 1.50 updater under "150.PBP", no longer under "UPDATE.PBP"!
    • - The required updater .PBPs are checked on startup and missing ones a are noted in a warning at the bottom of the mainscreen

    Key features
    • Prepare (repartition and format) your memstick for Pandora
(to reserve space for the MS IPL)
since revision 3 you can also choose the name after format (see below)
    • Make normal battery to Pandora one
    • Make Pandora battery to normal one
    • Install a full 1.50 to the memstick, including the Pandora (classic, Fat and 1.50 only)
    • Install a full 1.50 to the memstick, including DAX' DDC universal unbricker for Fat+Slim
    • Install DDCv6 to the memstick
    • Install optional tools (ELF-Menum NAND-Tool) to a DDCv4 stick, already propperly set up and ready to use
    • Backup current battery serial to file
    • Restore battery serial from file
(if trying to restore from a backupfile without one beeing present,
the default serial will simply be used instead)

    And here it is:
    [ D*O*W*N*L*O*A*D (Rev.4b) ]

You're welcome, and anybode else who might find use for this.

I just tested (again) on 3.71-M33, 3.52-M33-4, 1.50 (from stick ;)) and 3.60-M33 on the Slim.
If someone finds bugs, I'll try to fix them, but hope there are none :)

Oh, and the source is included.

Nice one Hellcat, I can stop supporting the open source battery tool now :)

I still wonder if it's possible to install booster's smaller IPL directly from a PSP app though, could make the whole process a one stop thing.

excuse the noob question but does this mean that the slim is now essentially the same as the phat, in terms of homebrew compatibility? If I use this can I get all the 1.5 specific homebrew working on my psp slim now?

and does that mean there is now no reason to buy a phat (unless you like the addded girth and IR lol).

    Erh, NO

As for Pandora: This only enables you to use a Slim for making a FAT Pandora.
Some ppl. (like me ;)) might come into situations were the "homebrew enabled" PSP in reach to make the memstick and to convert the battery is either a Slim, or a 3.71 w/o 1.50 plugin.
You can now use those to make all of the required stuff.
This does not mean this install actually work on the Slim.

As for Homebrew on Slim (and non 1.50 CFWs): They have always been as capable as 1.50 - on 1.50 some thing are just way more easy to do

You need to be on a custom firmware, Sony original ones will not run unsigned code - and I didn't convince Sony so far to sign mine ;)

You actually make the Pandora battery with this :)
Just like with the original installer, but on 1.50 less PSPs.

You, however, still need mspformat and msinst from the original package to perform some operations on the memstick.
But the conversion of the battery and memstick FW install can be done by this, when the original apps don't run.

    1)
Copy Sony 1.50 Update to X:/UPDATE.PBP
(X = drive letter of your memstick)

    2)
Copy "pan3xx" folder from downloaded archive to X:/PSP/GAME/
    (again, X = your memstick)
Now you should have a X:/PSP/GAME/pan3xx/ folder.

    3)
In the XMB go to "Game"

    4)
    Start "Pandora Installer for 3.xx"

    5)
    Press O

    6)
    Press X

    7)
    Wait

    8)
Check original Pandora README for further instructions if you need to perform mspformat and/or msinst

    9)
    Done
    blah? blah!

It runns under *ANY* currently known kernel (that is 1.50 to 3.71) "

    That you don't understand?

This only allows you to make a Pandora FAT Battery by using a 3.71 M33 FAT PSP or a 3.60 M33 Slim PSP.

Read that again a few more times. You have to already have custom firmware on your PSP to be able to use this program.

If you do NOT have custom firmware on your PSP, you can NOT use this program, so to downgrade you still need to obtain a Pandora Battery and Memory stick from someone else.

All this program does is all someone, AFTER THEY HAVE THEIR CUSTOM FIRMWARE PSP, to be able to make a Pandora FAT battery.

The Original Pandora Battery Creator program does not run on a custom firmware PSP with 3.71 M33 or on a 3.60 M33 Slim because those custom firmwares do NOT have the 1.50 kernel in them. The Original Pandora Battery Creator and most other homebrew have been written using functions, commands and calls based on 1.50 kernel, which is why they don't work on those newer M33 firmwares.

So with this program, if you had a FAT PSP and wanted to update it to 3.71 M33 or wanted to get a Slim PSP, you can use this program to create Fat Pandora Batteries and I think, from what I read, create the files on the memory stick.

The Extended Pandora Menu isn't homebrew that is run from the PSP XMB menu.

It's a pre(boot) menu that displays before the Pandora main menu when you load a pandora battery and memory stick into a PSP.

When restoring the Battery to normal, does this use the EEPROM.BIN file?

Also This doesn't have an option (that I saw) to backup the EEPROM if you already haven't.

    question..
i've always just overlooked the pandora battery
because i didnt need to downgrade
and didnt want to mess up my memory stick by making it a magic memory stick
(losing all my data on it)

    in order to do this,
do i need to create the magic memory stick?

EDIT: yes im on custom firmware. 3.71M33
EDIT2: i think i just answered my own question.
in the readme it says i need a magic memory stick
now how do i create this?
and will i lose all of my data on the memory stick?
