proper remotejoy build and proper screenshoot plugin


I'm really annoyed of bad remotejoy build made with wrong switches which requires psplink to be run (while this isn't necessary) and also of the various user mode screenshoot plugins.
so i took the change to rebuild remotejoy in the proper way and to work in the 3.71 kernel and also a proper build of the screenshoot_bmp plugin originally made by nekokabu which works in !! KERNEL !! and not USER (something AWFULL FOR PLUGINS!!! it will messup a lot of things even if it works. PLUGINS MUST BE KERNEL AND THAT'S ALL!!!) so it doesn't mess up with your cheats and all games should work without "can't start game" errors. plus w00t no lines >_>.
also this is for 3.71 kernel

oh as of commands. for remotejoy just load usbhostfs and then remotejoy and then connect whathever you want and you will get the picture everywere you loaded it. ah and as of drivers no one needs to make them compatible with vista or xp and the psp they are part of the libusb project so just get on their page (the one of the windows port) and get it.
as for screenshoot_bmp it uses note (w00t XD) and will save on PICTURE and make the folder if missing

usbhostfs didn't require any work as it's compatible with 3.71 kernel as is (sony didn't change things there)

first usbhostfs then remotejoy the order is fondamental. and this works only on 3.71 a lot of nids have changed from 3.60 to 3.72

well, obviously you need to run remotejoy.exe and usbhostfs_pc.exe on your comp but otherwise, yeah, thats all you have to do. i've enabled it in vsh.txt and game.txt. its pretty easy to setup and for people who haven't used this before, once its set up you can play all your psp games directly on the pc

btw its for 371 so no need for game150.txt

so does this one work when saving and loading a game like in MGA or other games? The previous versions seemed to freeze when trying to access your memorystick. It made it useless when wanting to actually play a game though on a PC screen. I have not upgraded to v3.71 yet but will when the v1.50 kernel patch is released.

Can I get some help please. I'm not really new to the PSP scene and customizing it. But I am new to the plugins. I never really got into them, other than using the one for IRSHELL. Can someone give me some detailed instructions on how to use this homebrew. I would love to get it to work but the read me is kind of vague. Thanks in advance for the help.

no plugins built for 3.71 will never work on 3.52 and viceversa.
there is an exception for plugins which doesn't use changed nids and plugins which searches for imports on runtime (but this isn't a good idea if you have a big prx as it will take much more memory, and anyway a two prx solution, altough not being really noob friendly, it's better as it will take less memory in kernel ram (which is very little))

I upgraded to 3.71 so I could use this homebrew. I kind of regret it because my other stuff like 1.50 stuff doesn't work anymore and IRSHELL doesn't work anymore. But that's another story...

I got it working but when I start up a game, Remotejoy displays the PSP splash screen right before the game is going to start and that's it. The PSP continues to load the game but Remotejoy gets stuck at that screen.

Any help? Maybe the way I set it up was wrong?

I can't seem to get this working. I placed remotejoy.prx and usbhostfs.prx in my SEPlugins folder. I added
ms0://seplugins/remotejoy.prx
and
ms0://seplugins/usbhostfs.prx
to my game.txt file and enabled them through recovery.

I ran Start-USBHostFS_PC.bat on my computer and then Start-RemoteJoy.bat. I started the game on my PSP and plugged in the USB cable. The Add New Hardware wizard came up and I pointed it to the LibUSB folder and it installed PSP Type B (I had to tinker with the PID).

The usbhostfs_pc.exe command box says it's accepting async connection (4) from 127.0.0.1 and that's it, no device connected or anything. I get a black screen for remotejoy, F3 nor F5 (pressed twice) does anything. Is there something up with my PSP (as in I did all the computer stuff right) or is there something amiss with my PC workings?

Try swapping the order of your PRX files. Put the usbhostfs.prx first in the list.

They already were, I just listed them backwards. Here's my game.txt

i went and got the component cables, $20 cdn. gonna trty out both m,ethods and see which looks better. not sayin remote joy ain't great, I used to use it on my other psp's. will make a video and post to the usual place

it works now, i accidentally put remotejoy and usbhost.exe inside the pc folder and not in the remotejoy folder, works great also in vsh, thanks !!!

it was built in ubuntu feisty. you don't need to specify any drive to make remotejoy work, just remember to launch usbhostfs_pc with sudo or you must do some configuration changes to let it work without sudo
