Any screenshots of the program itself? That one is only the splash image.

You should make it like a homebrew where you can upload pics/images/videos/homebrew and stuff instead of just letting u download and install homebrew

I'd rather more people just supported Install-O-Tron, but if it supports more than just HB then it's good I guess. Although Install-O-Tron's hbinfo.txt file allows files other than HB but they wouldn't be uploaded.

How about removing the Limewire logo from your project seeing as this is in no way endorsed or supported by Limewire inc. Are you saying it JUST downloads the homebrew and doesn't install it? Its not a very useful application then.

Does it actually connect to the internet yet? Are locations of the two files displayed hard-coded into the application?

all the info + download url need to be included in an ini/txt file, so people get a filebrowser to select an file.
it also install your homebrew/music/video/picture in the good map, (if special place, need to be set in ini/txt file)

currently it's possible to download and install files with pspwire. but we have much work on the design and the filebrowser!

you can follow the offical thread on my site (http://www.maxy-psp.co.nr/Forum), just go to our release forum.there is no registration needed for post

it might help if you got the link right and noone will visit anyway to download a file browser that pretends to download content and save it to a file location that you cant choose inside the app

people wont waste their psp's battery life to use this app

pspwire is just like limewire, it only have another design and it have a built-in installer. pspwire will also have a search function, and i will add a feature to let people choose where they want to save/install their downloaded file.

any other suggestions?

Would you please tell e what in the hell is H2P? Is that like a protocol you guys created that works like a P2P where you're downloading and uploading at the sae time? I mean is that something really decent? Because if it's like this, I'll have to back off for once and say "Well Done!"

Or is it just a URL link to your free server where people will be downloading and sometimes get messages saying bandwidth exceeded?

I don't know why, but I don't get too excited with this kind of releases, specially when they are "full of names" like this one.

Can you please clarify giving more info about this new app?

Cheers

Yes, it seems like a one-way program to download from a central network (ie your site), but it also sounds just like a web portal.

But then again, it's a program that you run on the PSP. What does it really do? Does it use your PSP's ad hoc/infrastructure network connection to the PC to visit your site and select from a list of homebrew?

unless this is a p2p, it's not just like limewire. if you could make a client to download and search files from users using limewire, but not share the files, that would be very useful. otherwise, i supposed this will be useful with the search option, as long as it is updated.

Yes u should make it like.... people can use infrstructure, upload their homebrew/music/videos/photos and other people can downloaded them and choose which folder to download em instead of just a homebrew downloader. Sharebox was like this, but then the coder gave up on it :/. It was pretty good too

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. The only way an application like this will ever be successful is if it is made by an experienced dev and has the support of a major homebrew database (like dl.qj.net) (enough support for them to repackage everything into a suitable format)

Here's what I got so far.
-It only downloads, not uploads
-You can't browse files on your PSP
-You have to download a .txt file on your PC, then put it on the PSP, which will then download the appropriate file

Seems pointless.

Agreed
Maxy_PSP Has LOW skill... He would have NEVER been able to make a program as functional as Limewire for Windows.
