Default [RELEASE] POLYGUNWARS V 0.1 BY ahrimanes... using JGE++

ok guyssss i think i can make a release now... i think i will call it Beta 0.1
sooo download it.
as you will see you got the ship, the bulets, and some stupid enemys,.. an original test music, and sounds,and some stuff that make it to me a real clone of geometrywars..,,.. the sounds still having some problems.. but will fix them... the song is just for test the bg music.. i will make somthing gorgeus as im a music man too : jejeje... loking foward to your coments... by the way. the build is for fw 3xx
of course i do this for the simple fact of fun.. never wanted do take credits from Bizarre creations people.. hope they see this as a fan work stuff...

Looks like it, but this one has better effects and brighter colors than Trigonometry Wars.

its not a copy.. in fact trigonomety wars(TGW) is a clone of the 360 geometrywars.. as my polygunwars(PGW), i wasnot hapy with TGW and decide to do mine, i started PGW in LUA but then when it get some progress.. i see LUA cant handel shuch complex, so i let it, when i recently see the JGE++ i took my old c++ bible, and rewrite the code to work in it now im very happy whit the results and im keep going whit this till last. hope you guys have fun as i do, and sorry about the screenshot... thaks friend dr_watson, for the screen shot. thanks for JGE++

Gave it my 5 stars!

Excellent demo! Waiting for the full game
I enjoyed this game more than trigonometry wars, and the name appeals to me better, too :P

Hopefully the lag gets fixed later on.

Also, I should state that it lags after I change the view(?) of the game multiple times.

It does lag. But other than that its really fun But I don't like the color of the background (the part that ripples when you shoot) i think it should be a little darker. But other than that, amazing job

hy there its me again, and now releasing the POLYGUNWARS v0.2
on this release:
some code obtimization
the pink stupid enemy is not alone wee say hello to the blue diamond..
now when an enemy born, it has som introducing time so you dont get killed by it at the time he apears.
fixed the sound problem,,, now every sound get played, if 3 sounds are already playing stop 1 and play the new one; stopchannel(channel) add to jge++.
this will be like this untill find a way to play more than 3 channels on psp.. if there is a way, pleease tell.
now when wee get a big explosion the blue mesh turns as red as hot was the explosion....
also i indlude a bgm i did(geometry wars theme remix).
well just download it and test.. post comente and bugsss found pleaseeee...

muahaha thats causes i did not code the bomb already :P thats the easy part soooo...
if you press L all you get is a particle and sound test

Just tried this out, excellent stuff...
Smash TV is my all time favorite game, and I've never tried GW before...

As for your game.

+ Excellent special effects love the explosions
+ great graphics, very bright, very authentic compared to its inspiration
+ great music

things to work on...

-enemies make a popping sound when they die.. sounds like bubbles bursting... why not try a scifi sounding explosion

-could the game get more hectic, or do I just suck and cant last long enough for the screen to get swarmed?

-Digital control please... at least the option to use the d-pad.

Overall though its very promising and thanks for putting the effort in to make such a high quality game... thought some feedback would be welcome though.

Keep up the good work, don't give up... I'd love to see another revision.

Awesome, nice to see somebody working on this type of game, I am still playing the Vector Infector Beta, too bad that died

some questions, I D/Led v0.2 and installed it fine but the music doesnt seem to play :S I played it on my PC and it sounds good but it just doesnt work on my psp

also the start button quits the game, is that intentional? or is it suppose to pause the game?

and finally, I made 1616 active particles, lagging my game beyond belief lol

Muy bien juego, espero tu proxima version :P

hithereeeee... my pc is back so im back in action.
here is the new release POLYGUNWARS V0.3
* a new enemy, the green glowbin.
* star field
* best performancen on colide detection(no more lag causes of it)
* L for a working now boom..
* lives count.
* boom count
* when you lose all your lives.. you will bee on an screen whit just startfield and mesh.. just pres start to restart the game.
* when you be in active game,, presing start causes to exit.

keys:
analog: move the ship.
A: shot up
O: shot right.
X: shot Down
[]:shot left
L:shot the boooomb.

you can combine shot buttons to get diagonal shot.. like.
AO : shot right up.
OX: shot right down.
O[]:shot left down.
A[]:shot left up.

thats it..

You have to rename the _001 file to PolygunWars.z01 and then extract the .zip file, then it works Just tested it here, great work!
