So this is actually competing my motion kit driver then, eh? :P
Bad it's hardcoded for Loco Roco, but still shows that controlling even such a game with the motion kit is possible. Also you take that "first UMD game made capable of using motion kit" title, but whatever... there's more than just being "first" :P
I also guess the "audio fix" still relies on the motion kit being plugged in *before* the game is started (ie just the bare code from deniskas mapthis) and cannot detect if the plugged device is really a motion kit, so it also keeps speaker output when a headphone is plugged? Or are you just waiting for me and adrahil on ps2dev to find the firmware function to do the real audio forwarding? :P

Sorry for the critique. Still nice seeing this as a PoC.

Raphael: lol no competition; waiting for ya work too. Generic driver cant do some specialzd things which require time sensitive actions like jumping.

This auto disables if its a headphone and can differenciate a motion kit from remote ; consider it A.I. Thanks to hprm magic.

EDIT: Regarding audio fix; you'll c it coming and I havent contacted anyone.

Default Just a few thoughts...

Combining the fast-paced PSP movements from one side to the other and the ghost-effect from the PSP LCD Screen you surely must get some sort of dizziness after playing a while .... but nevermind, it´s impressive. This plugin will surely give a new playability to Loco Roco.

I personally would have liked to see a similar plugin for Mercury´s though.

On the other hand if the price of the motion kit were fair I would definately get one.... but since it´s more or less the same price as the official GPS / Camera thing, never in a million years. Definately too expensive to afford.

I thought of this when the MotionKit first came out but sadly, I do not code PRXs. I just tried it out and I have to say I'm disappointed. It is very buggy. The language select screen flipped out and the controls became unstable. It ran EXTREMELY slow and when I finally started a level, it didn't work AND the shoulder buttons didn't work either. I'm on 3.52 M33-4 if that is the problem.

Looks great! I might buy the motion kit JUST for this!

I look forward to more releases like this. Maybe one for Archer Maclean's Mercury?

First upgrade to 3.71M33-4;

Important Note Regarding this Version:

It is a known bug that sluggish behaviour or motion sensing doesn't seem to work; if it happens exit and restart the game.

There is a 1 in 3 Chance of successful launch.
This is something I am trying to investigate and should be fixed sooon

They never bothered to get it extended;

Would it be possible to take this a step further, and make it so that the physics still work correctly, but the rotation stays the same on the PSP screen (as in L and R would not move the screen at all, but the gravity and variables would still be changed accordingly)? This would give your plugin a more realistic feeling, since the screen would be the same rotation as the PSP is in your hand.

Uhm... no... unless he would take the time to reverse engineer loco roco to find how/where it handles the screen rotation and hack that part. And there are a few reasons why that won't happen.

That would not be possible, However, How about Different color schemes for the LocoRoco world or even the XMB?

..perhaps as a separate plugin, unless I were to see a photoshop concept or something I don't quite see the whole picture.

But are you sure the idea is impossible? I wouldn't know unless I could see what type of method they used in the functions triggered by L and R.
