Default Interesting Reg Keys

While playing with Skylark's registry codes I found a few keys I'd never heard of.
The most prominent are:
Dynamic_Normaliser, and Main_Volume.
Main_Volume is set to 20 by default, and raising the value appears to do nothing.
I haven't played with the other yet, but wondering if anyone has.

Since there is no way to set them that punches throught the GUI (XMB),
maybe they were never implemented.

On a similar note, is there an app that enables WMA and Flash without accessing the internet?
Because Skylark's code would make that pretty easy.
Art.

recovery can enable wma and flash with 1 click.
and the dynamic normaliser can be enabled in the xmb, in sound settings.

X-Flash still hasn't bricked my PSP, so I have hardly seen it :P)

However, it's still worth checking with an auto boot program that checks directories like that CreatDir program,
so if the keys aren't set right, they will be corrected.

There is no setting for dynamic_normalizer in my Sound settings.
It's not the same reg key as AVLS.

Another interesting one is sound_reduction (set to 0),
maybe a nice cruel joke to play on someone.

Setting sound_reduction to negative might do the opposite [volume boost ]

just my guess..

I hope that's not how the HB mp3 players work.
The sound is louder in my programs than anything that can happen in the XMB,
but I don't know why. I just use the PSP audio lib to play PCM samples.
It does show the PSP audio is capable of more than we hear in the XMB.

I will have a play with a few tomorrow, to see if they are all implemented in my firmware.

FW 3.10 introduced us to the Dynamic Normalizer. Sometimes it can have a good effect, sometimes bad, it doesn't make a big impact. It's basically if you have a lot of songs in your Music folder and some are way louder or quieter than others, so the Dynamic Normalizer adjusts the sound automatically. It may use sound_reduction while it's doing its thing.

Since you're playing with the flash atm, care to try something out for me? The keyboard prx has way more images of the keyboard than we need in it, instead of coding the letters into the images, they have a whole set of images for every set of letter of different languages. I was wondering how much space would be freed after deleting the unneeded (foreign) image files.

I asked because yall were talking about the dynamic normalizer. The reason You cant find it under sound settings is because it was implemented in firmware 3.10 and above.

I thought devhook didn't work on custom firmwares. I thought it only worked on 1.5

It works on all firmwares provided you have the 1.5 kernel installed.
