here i gooo again muaahahahaaaa,, and now releasing: POLYGUNWARS V0.4


SOO about that you see in there:
* wee got a main menu.
in the menu when you get to a next level, press circle to go back, or pres x while selecting Done item.
menu items desc:
start the game:... if you dont know what its means.... wy are you here?
options: take us to the options pannel.... but no options right now.
hiscores: wee can take a look to the best players in your PSP by now.
watch fireworks show, it just simple revome the menu, to letus watch the particles behind.
exit to xmb:.... you wont use this one for a wile...

* while use the menu you beter use the UP,DOW buttos from the pad, im still working on analog.

*while play time, start take us to a pause menu soo its explicit what you can do there.
*select now is a multy screen shot taker, i mean it makes progresive numbers of screenshots. and all your screenshot are placed on ms0:\PICTURES\screenshot_ xx where xx = 01,02,03...n
if you exit the game, this number is restarted so make shure you make a copy of your screenshots befors taken some more.

*now you can see you score on the left up corner and the score to beat at the rigth up corner..

*the enemys are now spawned by a managger this means no more random spawns then now comes in function of game time.
*they also make a sound when they born

*obeusly you will only be asked for your name entry if your score beat one of the top 10...

*collision system got a better performance.
*the mesh got better performance. do never use pow(); better use x*x;
*particles got better performance. do never use pow(); better use x*x;

Nice going, addictive game!

edit: A lot of improvement, great work on this release 57600 points on first try with this version here!

Great job! I notice my ship shoots slower later in the game, and it seems to be that way because of some lag (you can tell by slower mesh responses).

Other than that, the game plays well! I haven't checked to see how you render the character/number, but some digits are hard to see at first glance.

Anyway, like I said, great job! I'll be keeping an eye on this

It's fun, but a bit easy, especially with that weapon that if you fire it in all 8 directions once, it just kills everything on the screen. :P

Heh, got 95000 points before I lost my first life, and only then because my fingers were getting sore from mashing all those buttons, ended up getting 199400 for my first game.

Nice progress on the game. In case anyone is curious (can't imagine why though) the game does run under the 1.5 kernel but you won't have music playback; sound effect and gameplay is alright though.

Oh and for the lazy, here's an alternate eboot which has a PIC1 (just a screenshot taken of the fireworks).

Exclamation Bug??

Ok ive found something that might be a bug (also might be why some people are gettnig such big scores :P lol).
If you play a game and finish it it goes to the gameover/highscore submitting page.
From there you can press X(Try Again) or O(Main Menu).
If you press X, then you start a new game entirely from scatch.
BUT if you press O and go start new game, then you start out at the same point you were when you last died, points and weapon wise, but with full lives and bombs. This is a rather major glitch in the scoring system...
If I'm wrong and you did this on purpose for some strange reason lol feel free to prove me wrong

not me, that was my first and only game I got that score... and there are bombs? I wondered what the x4 next to that cirlce thing was.. :P
I just got a high score because the other ships are predictable, move in a direction away from them and fire backwards, gets them every time. Need to code in some "cut them off at the pass" AI into it where they don't just chase you but attempt to go around past your current movement vector and get in the path of where you are fleeing to.

@jsharrad, i do the same yet the best i can get is 20000-30000.
