The Ghost team releases this homebrew. It's a shell in developing yet.

Here it is the next release and revision. Before of use this software read the readme.
It has sdk for programmers. It contains functions used in XAVShell and also contains functions that will be used on the XAVShell :P .

If you are a noob programmer look the sdk , it has some interesting and usefull functions easy to use.

XAVShell , Revision 1.0.x (Beta) 1. Details - Cursor enabled. - Welcome screen. Here you should write a password and if it's correct the app will go to the desktop. Else, you'll go to the xmb. - In the desktop, you can go to the xmb pressing x in task bar. - USB icon for connect the usb xD - Disc icon : it'll start the umd game. 2. Making the password and some details of it. For generate the password you must open the notebook and write the characters that will be the password (max characters, 6 and minimum 6 too). Then of write the password (read 2.1), save it with the name loginpassword (his format must be .tgt) . Save it on the same folder that XAVshell eboot (on the rar there is a loginpassword of example). The characters must be the next letters : x ; o ; s ; t ; l ; r 2.1 Equivalencies between the characters x = Button X o = '' circle s = '' square t = '' triangle l = " L trigger r = '' R trigger >> The Ghost team, www.theghosteam.blogspot.com

So, if i understand correctly, this is a ""Windows Vista emulator"" for the psp ?

I was curious what exactly this was supposed to be, both here and the forum it originated from made little sense to me beyond some vague references to things like sdk for programmers.

Im a bit confused as to what this is. It says its a shell but then it says it comes with an SDK but what the hell do you need an SDK for?

Yep, it's basically a Vista emulator that can't do anything but look pretty. You can log on and move the cursor around the desktop but thats it...
What it can do:
Cursor enabled.
- Welcome screen. Here you should write a password and if it's correct the app will go to the desktop. Else, you'll go to the xmb.
- In the desktop, you can go to the xmb pressing x in task bar.
- USB icon for connect the usb xD
- Disc icon : it'll start the umd game.

I know, really. It sounds like somewhat of a thrillride in a spanish theme park. Always wondering if the cheap rides will collapse...

I love wooden coasters...They vibrate like hell! which is totally fun! Plus its cool to watch the whole structure shake when a coaster rolls by...

anyways back to the subject...

I personally wouldn't trust anything that said anything about bricking or idstorage corruption. Plus considering this isn't from a known developer.

It isn't bad :P On spain and argentina the day 28 of december (when they released the revision 1.0.1 that contain this text) is the innocent day. If I remember correctly when the psp show it, then show a png that say 'Inocente, Press X for start XAVShell'.

About the SDK , it is for noob and is more easy to use (look for example, tgtLoadExec_kernel.h

).

And it isn't a emulation of Windows Vista, I think that is a shell with Windows Vista graphics.
