Default DTMF Dial V3

DTMF Dial V3

Hi Guys,
This is DTMF Dial V3 release.
DTMF Dial is an auto touch tone dialing phone book.
It allows you to place phone calls and navigate touch tone based
phone menus with pre-programmed DTMF sequences.

This is the first version that is user skinnable.
The default skin was provided by Jomann of QJnet forums.
The original skin is included in the download package,
and may still be used as an external skin.

Source code is released with this version.
See the link a few posts below.

Quote:
V3 (14/02/08):
- Added support for an external skin file so the end user can provide their own main program graphic.
- Changed default skin to that provided by Jomann of QJ net forums.
- Various small fixes, including better text formatting in the editor window.

Thanks, there's something funny about that screenshot, but anyway...
Time to give this away. There's probably still one more update coming though.

This is full source code, makefile, and resources. All that is needed to compile V3.
Cheers, Art.

Next one I'll put a credit on the intro screen too,
but since it's open source now, anyone can do it!

Hey art,
For the first time, this started to work for my phone FLAWLESSLY. I just place the mic of phone to the bottom of the PSP and dialing happens

I got a suggestion:

In the Name entry field the entry begins from "!" [Ascii 33]; No body really uses any of those characters. Could you make it start from "A" [65]. It really makes it much faster to input a name instead of going more than 15 places.

Is it possible to delete an entry?

You can press CIRCLE over the keypad to delete the highlighted entry from RAM,
but then you have to save the phonebook to apply that to the file.
Also helps to press CROSS while scrolling through the letters when you're putting names in,
it moves much faster.

It would have been better to make name entry work using the keypad like a mobile phone in the first place.
I just hadn't thought of it until someone made a skin that showed the letters under the numbers.

Hey Art, the skins I'm making right now aren't getting loaded by the app for some reason. In the template, where it says "this area must be left clear" does that mean actually transparent, or pure black? I think thats where mine are failing. Other than that it's called "skin.png", it's in the DTMF Dial folder, just like the readme says, but for some reason its just not workin =(. Are there any parts of the skin that have to be a certain color or something?

The boxes around the keys have to be in the exact same position,
they only have to be a single pixel wide, can be any colour, but must
all be the same colour. Same with the box around the editor window.

I don't think I ended up checking the title area was clear, but if you put
one there, the title will be printed over it.
