Default I Wan't To Learn To Create Homebrew

I have lots of experience with computers but virtually no coding knowledge.

I want to make some homebrew and test it on my psp but have no idea where to start. Could you guys help me?

I'd like to start out small and work my way up to creating a fps ad hoc game and move up to infrastructure mode and run a master server for online play (I have an open source master server to do so)

What particular field in computers, except coding, do you have experience with? I ask because a lot of people who think they can copy homebrew over and use a PC makes them "elite" enough to program.

I think it'd be best if you came from a computer engineering background as you'd be accustomed to how software 'flows' on a machine, you just don't know how to write the software ^^ (that's kinda how I see it, I'll probably be bashed for it though)

There's knowledge to be gained by using software,
and some you will never attain until you start writing it.
Only one way to start acquiring that knowledge

If you don't know coding, then take a class. The class I'm in teaches me a lot about Java, but unfortunately its Java. Would have been nice if it was C or C++.

CoBrA - You got it backwards bud. I'm sure yaustar will back me up on this, maybe (his words are wise and strike deep, in the good way ). Java may be a bit extreme at first, but it gets you introduced to a very 'symbolly' syntax and how it must be correctly used. That and the class should help you develop a strong comprehension of hte programming concept. By the way, I'm pretty sure you start some sort of 'Intro to C' course after Java (at least the college courses I'm considering anyway...)

I'm ready for you yaustar
