Arrow [SOLVED] Anyone familiar with OpenXDK? [For a New Collaborative project]

Personally, I donot know anything about programming for XBOX or using the OpenXDK

Hence I am look for one who does, Make a post if you do. You need to know much more than making a "Hello World" on Xbox 1.

This project is intended to be an interface between XBOX & PSP; No more details to be provided for now as it spoils the fun during time of release.

Considering OpenXDX supports SDL, write the application on the PC first using SDL and sockets then recompile it over to Xbox using the XDX and fix any platform specific issues.

After all, the Xbox is a PC.

Thing is: I'm not into SDL nor into PC programming; I find PSP a lot easier to use.

----

Will try a few cygwin examples and OpenXDK examples meanwhile by myself.

Well then you either need to 'get' into SDL and PC programming (that's just horrible... what happens when the PSP 'dies'? think ahead buddy), find another platform independent library the XDK and PSP supporst, request someone does it for you or work on something else.

Can't be so picky, yeesh

You are missing the point. You don't have to find someone that knows how to program on the Xbox, you can find someone who knows SDL and sockets and program your application on a PC instead. (I assume) There are a lot more programmers out there for PC then there are for Xbox therefore you have a wider range of programmers to help you.

Later when (or even if) you have finished developing the application on PC, then you can either attempt to port it yourself (which should be straight forward with SDL) or find someone that can.

SDL not an option.

Added to that,
The whole OpenXDK doesn't even support network / TCP.

True the OpenXDK doesn't, but if you are serious about your amazing cross-platform game/app concept, you'd consider other, more *official* methods (*hint hint wink wink nudge nudge cough cough*). Methods not appropriate to talk about if you catch my drift.

I prefer to stay on the right side.
