Default [update] TetriAbetes 1.42 : The Peoples Tetris

this release focuses on some player requests

-- Added 3rd setting to ghost (wireframe)

open "data/mp3folder.ini" file and
edit directory of choice, save file.
(do not press return key after the string)
-- adjusted the drop speed after level change
(made it a bit slower, as per request).

coolness...the wireframe option is great...while playing i would sometimes get mixed up wit the ghost block looking to similar to the ones already set down

well the t spin is like say theres a spot in the blocks were the t-shaped block can fit but it cant fall into that possition ...well with t-spin once the t-shaped block has fallen into that area u are still able to spin it into that possition unreachable before ...
EDIT: hope that makes sence lol im bad at explaining things

Fantastic update; this gave me back my 136 MB! Plus it doesn't freeze at the higher levels anymore.

I did make a video showing other quirks, though...

Great update dragula! This is shaping up to be a Five Star piece of software.

I saw the same thing as well, Fat PSP, 390m33-2. 3.xx version. I think it happened when i got to level 10. And it seems to stay at level 10. I was up to 170 lines and it still said level 10.

woah , it looked like you were playing in fast motion

anyway i caught the glitch at the end, looks like the I bar is wall kicking to the left then wall kicks again after colliding with the blocks on the left side.

thats what i was afraid would happen if i added wall-kick.

yea i noticed it dont go past 10 too, the code only check up to 100 lines

ill fix it in next release for it to check for up to 200 lines.(level20).

Lord Romo has found out that:
as soon as a score of 100,000 is reached, game gose on the fritz and throws a fit.

anyone wanna confirm that?

Wow, 100000 points... I guess you slowed it down a lot.. I'm still using the previous release and I never got past 48000 points and level 10 is way too fast to be playable for mere mortals IMO.

Anyway, I have a couple of comments/requests:

- It'd be nice to use the triangle for rotation. I now use O which is in a bit less convenient location. Perhaps the R button wd work, too, I dunno. I have always been a great advocate of user-configurable controls

- I don't really care for the hold function.. it is sort of against tetris "principles" as I see it... but I guess I don't care as I just don't use it.

- Also, it'd be nice to be still able to drag pieces to the side after using either the instant drop feature or the quick movement feature to get the down to the bottom... as it is, you have to wait for them to land of their own accord if you are to move stuff about.

- Some may like the option to jump to level X and start play from there to skip the slow stage of the game.



Props for the app! Runs smoothly and fast, no glitches whatsoever (Fat, OE-A 40), looks pretty nice, has mostly the right controls etc. About as good as tetris gets (esp. with the music playing feature).

So far the best homebrew game I found after hex-a-hop, so thaks ever so much!

well i used to think this too, however like you said, if you dont like it dont press the L button when you play, the option is there for people that are used to playing modern tetris games that comply with the tetris guildine.

I played to ~170000 points last night, and there are some graphic errors. The left hand panel jumps farther left, and the Hold piece doesnt disappear, just writes over the last one. You can see what happens in the video that was posted before.

Yay! I've been at work all day itching to know if you'd updated this yet - and I come home and you have!

Brilliant!

Thanks for the wireframe option - good that you can change it on the fly when the action heats up a tad.

This is really shaping up to be a fantastic tetris. Maybe in future releases we could get some 'reward' screens or medals or summat - I'm sad for stuff like that.

TetriAbetes totally rocks.

The "TetriAbetes Theme" also rocks! Very very nice. Is it possible to download this tune somewhere???

How about a function to listen to mp3 while playin'???

Only the colours of the bricks in game do not totally satisfy me. Light Blue and Blue is one blue to much. The green should be a lil' bit darker.

Did you think of different colour shemes for the bricks? That would be awesome!

An options menu would be nice incl. an exit function.

At last i got one last thing to say:
