Question Phlip Mode[concept]

I've got an idea for a game using the PSP motion kit, but It's kind of crazy. So before I start to work on it, I wanted to know if anyone would play it.
It basically reads the rotation, pitch, etc. of the psp and gives you points for tricks you do with your psp (i.e. 360 flip, spiral flip). There would be bonuses if you pressed certain keys on the catch. So in example you would stat by throwing your psp in the air, and try to catch it while pressing the "X" button. Modes of the game would include "Challenge", "Phree Mode", and maybe even "Co-op Mode".
I'm still a bit of a noob at programming, but I think I could pull this off pretty easy. What do ya'll think?

lol, sounds sick. Although you have to play on top of a cushion or something like that. If i had a motion kit i would DEFINITELY play that. Like a PSP version of Skate

That's funny, because the moto I was thinking for the game was "Don't be a Pillow Phlipper!" I do understand that nobody wants to kill their PSP though.

The more different types of spins you are trying to detect, the more difficult the filtering becomes in telling the difference between them. The idea itself sounds very different for a homebrew game so if you pull it off, kudos.

I guess the filtering would be something like
full flips = x
full spins = y
if x = 3 then
if spin > 10 degrees
"Perfect flip x3 points!"

if x = 2 then
if y = 1 then
"Spin flip x2 points"

if x = 2 then
if y = 2 then
"Phloppy flip x6 points"

ect.
