Post [RELEASE] - XMB Eboots Launcher v1.2

Hi to all, this is an update to one of my plugins.
Download from HERE

From the README.PDF attached:
Quote:
What's it?
With this plugin you can launch an eboot when you press on one of the XMB icons.

Notes:
-If your Eboot.pbp is in fw 1.50 mode (with kxploit!) you have to insert in the config file the path o the Eboot.pbp contained in % folder (folder with % character in its name!).
-Location Free Player icon can be replaced ONLY in PSP that did not install the 1.50 addon!
If you have the 1.50 addon installed and you want to use the Location Free Player icon you have to insert only the original lftv_plugin.prx in flash0:/vsh/module.
-Skype icon can be replaced ONLY in PSP Slim & Lite.
-VSHMenų function can be replaced ONLY if you have the M33 VSHMenų enabled in Recovery Menų.

Features
v1.2

Added a README.PDF.
Added the following icons to the list of the icons that can be replaced:
-Skype (Slim only)
-VSHMenų (SELECT button)
-Opening (just after the coldboot)
-NETSettings (Network Settings and, unfortunatly, USB Connection)

v1.1
Added the following icons to the list of the icons that can be replaced:
-Music (the MS icon under the Music menų)
-Video (the MS icon under the Video menų)
-Photo (the MS icon under the Photo menų)
-Internet Browser
-Saved Data Utility
-Internet Radio

v.1.0
In the first version icons that can be replaced are:
-Network Update
-Location Free Player
-Remote Play
-RSS Channel
-Game Sharing
-Camera

How to use
Copy the SEPLUGINS folder in the ROOT of Memory Stick and activate the plugin from Recovery Menų.
Then edit the XMBEL.txt (in SEPLUGINS folder) with your own preferences.
Note: to apply changes to the TXT you have to reboot the console!

Icons available

#NetworkUpdate
#LocationFreePlayer
#RemotePlay
#RSSChannel
#GameSharing
#Music
#Radio
#Video
#Browser
#Photo
#Savedata
#Camera
#Opening
#NETSettings
#VSHMenu
#Skype

If I assign the EBOOT to the SELECT button, will it completely replace the VSHMenu and just boot the EBOOT instead?

Thanks for the release.

Yes, in that case the eboot will be launched almost immediately

Sweet, that'll come in handy. Thanks.

Also, in your VSHMenu edits, could you include an option (in the menu) to boot a chosen EBOOT so that I do not lose the VSHMenu but can still use SELECT to boot a homebrew application/game?

I didn't understand very well, sorry ^^''
Do you want an option in Alternative VSHMenų where you can select if using SELECT to launch M33 VSHMenų or an eboot? Right?

in this case, is there any way to modify what the icon says in order to match the homebrew launched on that icon??

do i have to hex edit?

eg: Remoteplay --> to iR Shell

You have to edit the topmenu_plugin.rco, where are all the icon texts of the XMB
Use Resurkenklussi to decrypt the RCO and then edit it using RCOEdit

It would be cool if there was a way of inserting new menu options and having them launch eboots (Like when you press Triangle on an inserted UMD for extra info)

Sorry, the correct name of that homebrew is "Resurssiklunssi" (:P).
It's a homebrew (requires 1.50 kernel) to decrypt the compressed RCOs

Yes you need the sysmen.prx from the 2.71 firmware
I can't post it because it is copyrighted

-Opening (just after the coldboot)

That mean the Homebrew replace the XMB ?

It means that the homebrew will be launched automatically on PSP boot, just after the SCEE intro. So, in that sense, yes, the homebrew goes to replace the XMB

If you're using RCOEdit, program saves the RCO automatically when you press on CHANGE button (under the textbox). It will create a backup copy of the RCO too!
Oh, and you can insert your RCO in flash0 also without re-compress it

cool this is cool

but this is what i did lol
i used the resur..... and pressed CIRCLE to re convert and compress it into its orig 22kb except that the text is changed

but im using ctf
i have the font/vsh folder except i have these files in the "patch-only" folder
commongui.prx.patch paf.prx.patch and vshmain.prx.patch

ps i used freeplay's ctf unpacker

when i used your ctf manager and put the ctf in the unctf.exe, all it gave me was a PTF file

"Network Settings" icon. But for a unknown bug, for now if you enable that option (#NETSetting) eboot will be launched when you press on "USB Connection" icon too.
I hope to fix it in next releases

i have a question, whats the point in this when you can just go under game and launch them instead of going through the hassle of messing with prxs and stuff? a lot easier. but thats just my opinion. but otherwise good job making this.

@ animefreak
thats probably because you have a small-medium homebrew list

ppl like me with a LOONNG homebrew list (60) its hard to find homebrew randomly somewhere in the list

and icons that launch homebrew are pretty cool lol

In my opinion this is a way to give a use to those icons that you don't use in your PSP, for example because you have not the location free player, or the PS3 or you can't connect your PSP to internet because you have not a router, ecc...
This is the "aim" of this plugin (in my opionion)
