Lua Music Freezes Program

I'm using the MP3 enabled Lua program, and while using MP3 it barely plays them. While a .Wav completely crashes the program. Is there a fix to this?

Hah sorry if I wasn't clear about that. Its one I'm making. I cut the file size down to 1 MB (the quality sucks, but I want to get the program working then focus on that) and its still freezing. I dunno what its problem is, heres the code to play the file:

titleMusic = Sound.load("./80725.wav",true)
titleMusic:\play()

Honestly I don't know, apart from it being an incompatible format or simply too large. I'd need more specific details about bitrate, channels, sampling rate, etc.

I'm beginning to think Lua is to weak of a language to support my coding, I may have to go the route of C++. Ugh, that disturbs me. I think that the game I'm attempting to make is to processor heavy to run under Lua. Oh well it was a fun little run. I'm unsure of how to delete topics so could a mod either lock or delete this? Thanks.

What are you on with?

You haven't given people enough information to even try to help you and it is unlikely lua is that weak at all.

Answer what people ask and they will help.

For example;
What are you making? What is this program you said your using? And the details FreePlay asked for.

Also lua is strong enough to play a mp3..

Bad coding becuz playing a regular MP3 in lua shouldnt be an issue.

Use Youresam's IPM luaplayer - it's MP3 playing is much more efficient and doesn't suck nearly as much as other implementations. I and probably FreePlay and probably some others know how to find this luaplayer eboot but you'll have to find it yourself. Hint: 1337 Jeeps with Buttons

Oh come on, the point is to make people work for their goals - if we hand everything to them, they become exactly what we dread - thankless lua nubs who whine in the LHT that their copy and pasted code won't make the next great MMORPG run perfectly. If the person were to search QJ for posts by youresam regarding jeeps and buttons, look what they might find:
