So i have been developing for the PSP for a short time i have made my own programs but i have never released any to the community now i have developed a pretty cool application i want to compile it. I usually use PSPSDK preferable 0.8.2...
But heres the thing: I installed Ubuntu a while back and it was going fine for first few days then one time i turned my pc on and it said GRUB error 17 wasn't sure what it was so i had to format my computer and reinstall vista. WHICH MADE ME NEVER WANT LINUX AGAIN. Because i lost all my programs (Adobe master collection and other expensive programs), Movies,Music etc. I don't really want to install Ubuntu again i want a different Linux operating system but i was wondering would it be possible to use the toolchain on fedora or gentoo ? if not what version of Ubuntu should i use which is most stable when it comes to the grub menu? and which version is the most stable. And yes i am dual booting But i think the problem last time was that i didn't give my self enough room i thing i gave my self the minimum and once i had everything installer i couldn't even put a source code on it to compile! So if some one could please answer my questions i would be most greatful thanks. MiKeY188

The toolchain will work on any linux distribution (as long as it has the -dev packages installed).
That was stupid to reinstall your Windows though, it's VERY easy to fix your menu.lst file to fix Grub. |

I would suggest Ubuntu, honestly. Download the most recent version (8.04 LTS), and you should be fine. Ubuntu, in my opinion, is the easiest linux distro to use, and has the best community to help you. |

If you want to go super light weight, install gentoo (minimal install), and then build up a fluxbox WM from there. |
