Hi!

Seems very very nice!!

I get an error:
Code:
Skins//slpash.png is missing
In the config file I have:
Code:
skinFolder = "zixed";
It seems it doesen't read the value ("//" ?).
I'm on CF 3.52M33-u4.

EDIT: Is this compatible only with 3.90 (I noticed only now in the readme you talk aboit kernel 3.90)?

Many thanks.

Very good shell. I'm going to use this for a while. The only thing I noticed is that you can only have a maximum of 15 games (just 1 page) and I have more than that, so I have to fill the Applications with games but if I eventually also fill the Applications, It's impossible to boot the games that didn't make it to the list.

btw, any chance of a plugin to boot this at startup?

Does this not work properly on 3.80 M33-5? It installed fine for me, but on the first left 2 icons (games and emulators) it's blank for me and I know I have files in there?

The shell looks really nice btw!

Tested on 3.90 M33 and get the same splash.png missing. What could be be cause? Looks interesting though.
Is the text position hardcoded or does it get shifted along with the png's?

Yes all is hardcoded, so the "mypspmenu" folder must be in the "game" folder and not be renamed.

I will maybe put all the stuff in a folder at the root of the memory stick then just add a loader to the game folder, so it could be renamed.

Well it works now, no renaming .

I do have a couple of suggestions for easier use though.

Put in an option to scan a directory for a category that way you can just mass add a folder and if needed edit details later

Put an option to edit the details of an "app" icon (triangle to edit details), change name, icon, category. If you can tag an app you can than move all tagged to a directory. You could also check for changes on scanned folder and offer to add/edit the new content.
An option for predefined (optional auto-add apps) would be nice too.

This just from the quick look, I'll give some more input once I've have used it some more. The changes I suggested should be easy and make it much easier to manage content, which at the moment seems to be the strongest and weakest part of the shell.

All in all, I can't wait for a new version.

For a bigger change a flexible skinning system, so that you can change positions/sizes and come up with completely different layouts would be very nice as well.

this is a great shell...very promissing...i am an irshell user and this is the first

alternative shell that really got me hooked ...very stylish...and pretty easy to

theme(skins) and configure... and autoboot feature would be nice and a good

alarm clock(like irshell) would complete very well this shell...

merci(thanks) and keep updating....

p.s. everything works exept the umd (game)...it loads and freezes on black screen: disc0:/psp_game/sysdir/eboot.bin
umd
222
umd mode enabled

i have tried different umd titles with the same result ...do i have to enable something in recovery? i have a psp slim cf 390 m33-3 and irshell 390 and patch applied(to launch iso's) ...and why is it running at 222... i have set everything to 333(default)...and it still runs at 222...
maybe my settings are incorrect ....any idea welcome
for the moment i am working on a skin and the umd i can launch from the xbm
... the rest works just great...iso pso emulators(gameboy, snes) and all my applications.... ...my psp loves it...

here are some skins from solla-elf and me

her is the link http://www.sendspace.com/file/0ty6ev

thanks to h2l29 for your help on the sounds....

For the homebrews cpu clock, it's almost normal, most homebrew use theire own custom cpuspeed. For iso/cso, it should work.

For the umd loader, it's possible that i have broke something, i didn't try it since i while, i'll take a look.

Ps : Thanks to all of the pspupdates users, for your support, help, report etc ...
Stay tunned for the next release

Just wanted you to know Cpasjuste it works fine on 3.80 m33-5. And good work, been wanting a new shell for a while now, Though I would like to see a windows style desktop shell like the old Artillery shell believe thats what it was. But none the less great work. One thing this needs is a good music player.

To add an homebrew or iso/cso to a section go to the filer and press X on the eboot, after you can choose a section, cpu etc... I haven't test nethost on 4.01 M33, but there was some problem on 3.90 M33. Don't forget too that MyPspMenu it's code to run on 3.90 M33 only, some things can be broken.

Here's a simple skin I made, streamlined and sleek.

No screenshot as I don't know how to do them from mypspmenu.

Inspired by four impressions AMANA Desktop Suite.

http://www.sendspace.com/file/8oplop

I'll do a v2 with some little tweaks ans repositioning of some elements, for now this is it.

Best looking shell yet. I wonder if theres a way to easily to include the XMB wave in the background without reprogramming the wave effect from scratch.

The Sony firmware updaters use the 01-12.bmp from flash0, and use the default wave texture thats stored in the updater. (So if you have a custom theme, it will use ur custom 01-12.bmp but with the original wave.)
