Default [RELEASE] Playboy's Shooter v1.0

Hey everybody,it's me Playboy with my very first homebrew game entitled Playboy's Shooter.This is my entry for the "PSP-HACKS HOMEBREW COMPETITION 08".It's a very simple space shooter with only 5 levels (I'll add them in future releases),and i got the idea of making this game after playing Birdman's Shooter.In this game,you can choose a ship from the given choices.There are four ships to choose from all together.Powerups are also added,but trust me,it's pretty difficult to gain.
That's about it.Here are a few screenshots on my game.

Also,a good friend of mine created a site for my shooter.Thanks a lot to KooolaNL.

Read the readme.txt for more information on my game.

The options menu is still in development,so yea...it'll be included in the future release.Same goes to game sounds.

Vicboy,control means the 'stability of the ship',while speed means the speed of the ship.The higher the speed,the faster it'll be able to move.

The greater the control,the easier it becomes to control the ship.It makes it easier to evade the bullets.But this characteristic doesn't help much.

easier you mean much shorter time reaction? thats pretty much more of a frustration...

Vicboy,well if it's control is good,but the speed is bad,then yea...it'll be harder to evade the bullets.Also,if you have got any ideas/suggestions on the characteristics,please share it with me.I'd love to hear them,and i'll try my best to add them to my game.

then what is speed for????

also, heres some little suggestions

-Weapon Damage
-Weapon Attack Speed
-Weapon Projectile Speed
-Weapon Cooldown or Ammo
-Weapon Splash (Multiple units in a circle)
-Weapon Pierce through (If it ever happens, once a projectile has hit an enemy, it will still shoot through anything else at the back)
-Weapon Range (Yep... What's the UP and Down for???
-Health Points for you and the enemy
-Special Abilities (Self Heal, Kill all enemies, Invulnerable, Slow motion)
-Weapon, Armor, Special Ability, ECT upgrades (By point that can be gained by going to the next level or money that you get from killing enemies)
-Real difference in control (Since there is Health Points, this won't be a problem)
-Boss Levels
-Bonus Levels
-More Sound Effects!
-No Asteroids that looks like its gonna hit you
-A story
-More units
-Different kind of weapons (Not just a normal pellet shoot)
-Bonuses gained from killing an enemy (2x Money, Health gain, Weapon pimp for 30 seconds, 10 second invulnerability, extra life, Explosion which causes its surrounding units to die)
-Easy edit for things like HP and weapon damage (LIKE CSPSP)
-map editor?

Sorry if I didn't give enough... Heck, you'll be surprised how little I suggested in CSPSP too...

Anyway... Can YOU DO IT?

Hehe, if you do the slow motion with no problem, you might be the only homebrew with it, but don't overuse it :P...

Anyway, don't make too much ships like DOTA, nor make it a few... Customizable ships could be cool... (Buying different guns, upgrading and ect...)

And don't make the story seem so pointless... Make it as good as Resistance's and not as lame as Sims' Busting Out...

Yea,just making a few power-ups where the slow-motion mode will be activated for several seconds,then back to normal.Customizable ship...hmm..not sure if it can be done in the next release,but surely,i'll give it a try.haha sim's busting out

Well, don't blame me if that slow motion power up sucks if it does... I just hope my suggestions won't crap your game... Called Playboy's Shooter, which my mom thought was a magazine in my computer...

Anyway, I DO have a very few and small and sucky and ****ty and small and 1 bit ship images that aren't even bird's eye view... Here they are... But these are converted just to be viewed in the web (Surprised that I even converted it?) anyway, theres a zip file hosted in MediaFire that you should download instead of this crap posted now.

And also, WHY are you just asking me? Why not everyone else? If you want missiles too, I can give you...

(Hey cool! The BMP images are 3.70 megabyte but the zip file is 3.56 megabyte...)

Sure, anyway, I think you should get more missiles...

Did you download the ZIP file? It has a greater quality...

Also, have fun cropping it inch by inch... (Or get the Magic Eraser in Adobe PhotoShop)

Can I beta test it? (Yep, this is the end of my sentence)

And have you thought of changing the name? My mom doesn't like seeing that word on the computer...



I did this in 1 minute, using magic eraser... But its not perfect (Look at the Left wing)
