I want to develope an homebrew that dumps the folder SAVEDATA into the root of flash3 (EBOOT not prx...)
It will also overwrite old saves if exist.

Now, is it easier in C or LUA? (very very little knowledge in C and zero knowledge in LUA).

Also, how hard is this simple application?

I don't even think there are any functions in lua to copy files or even access the flash memory. Go with C.

btw you're sure that LUA can access flash and copy from ms to flash?
In later versions I'll probably want to add a save counter (counts the numbers of folders inside SAVEDATA, every folder is usually a game save), and also other features.

Hmm can some1 tell me what is LUA Player?
I downloaded it but it's for firmware 1.5, how I use it?
And when I downloaded for windows I can't understand how to use it, I'm not good with those cmd applications

1. will the tutorials from PSP-Programming will work on 3.90 M33 and 3.95 GEN?
2. What is the best LUA Player and how I use it

Lua for the PlayStation Portable is interpreted with Lua Player. Lua Player can run lua scripts and display them on the Sony PSP. Lua is an easy programming language to learn, that can be used for many different things, but is usually used to make games and applications. Its current version is V 0.20, however V0.17DK2 and Lua Player Mod, which are unofficial versions are still used by people on v2.00+. Most versions can be downloaded from the LuaPlayer.org website.

Yes it will work on any CTW and luaplayer HM is the best now as it allows old and newer and makes fancier functions like flash stuff easier.

Also even 1.5 app's will run on any CFW if you put them in the game folder and have the 1.50 add-on. Unless you have a slim.

The windows one is simple, just google lua psp tutorials or search on here or just go on evilmana.

I've downloaded luaplayer HM and it shut downs my PSP when I load it.
I got 3.95 GEN and Slim

see dark-alex is the main man when it comes to custom firmwares, it probably doesnt work because 3.95 gen was made crappily, also what does 3.95 give you over 3.90 other than ps store updates ? you should stay true to dax!

I don't think there is any way to downgrade aside from Pandora.
And why you don't need EBOOT?
how the PSP will play it? (again i don't want it to be complicated)

Have you completely lost your ****ing marbles? 3.95 gen adds some great features to an already great custom firmware. The majority of it was made using Alex's code so it can't be "made crappily". What would lead you to say such a thing?

all you do is download luaplayerhm and put it in your game older, put any lua scripts into your applications folder inside the luaplayerhm folder and run them

Well, LUA Player doesn't work on this cfw.

No, they did it perfectly well. In fact, the reason that some homebrew is incompatible with the firmware is because Sony made it harder to crack it with a whole lot of NID changes which needed resolving. So it isn't any fault of the developer that homebrew is incompatible, which leaves me to believe you are a fool. Not that I didn't think so already, of course.

CoMBina, you need to slow your butt down...first i recommend that you get luaplayer working, than learn how to program, before you even should start to care about making sure it's Ebootable

and plz for the love of god when you do start programming DO NOT RELEASE A BUTTON TESTER!!!!, plz leave that to your own making, plz....also their's a lua help thread be sure to use it for when you do start to get serious with lua programming

and I got luaplayer working, but I've heard there is no way to ebootise the lua app
