Arrow [RELEASE] PSP Hardware Alarm Interface I v1.3.359 - Compatible with ALL PSP's

PSP Hardware Alarm Interface I v1.3.359

This is an Alarm application which utilizes the PSP's Hardware Capabilities to set an Alarm that will wake up the PSP from either Sleep Mode or Powered Off (standby) mode. It is compatible with ALL PSP's including Slim & Light. Comes with an Easy to Use and Intuitive GUI design.

Personally, I donot have a PSP SLIM to test but theoretically should work 100% unless there's a hardware change. (CONFIRMED WORKING)(Check the debug text)

TO Stop Alarm when woken up from Sleep Mode: Press CIRCLE
TO Stop Alarm when woken up from Poweroff Mode: Press SQUARE in XMB

Main Features:

+ Runs on both 1.xx & 3.xx Kernels - Compatible with both PSP 2000(Slim & Light) & PSP 1000(Classic)
(No need for 1.5 Kernel addon or 1.5 Fw (but also works in that)(The main purpose this was coded in 1 week)
+ Sleep Mode Alarm with support for custom MP3 Audio file.
+ Power Off Mode Alarm that plays sound in XMB. (Plugin Required - Seperate Package)
+ Uses 12 Hour Time system (AM/PM), no more Confusing time conversions
+ Display's Hour's and Minutes remaining as the Alarm time is being set; updated in real time.
+ Alarm can be set up to 23 hours 59 minutes in future, Check for (Invalid - Readjust message).
+ Alarm Accurate to the Second.

Features for Usability:

+ Shows Seconds & Milliseconds
+ Aligned Time Display (Constant Length) Everything remains in place :P
+ Checks to make sure if an alarm was already set last time, if so, sets the alarm to that time. (Applies to Power Off Mode Alarm) - Reads time from ms0:/seplugins/HAPoweroffSupport.305 if it exists

!!!3.95 Compatibility NOTE!!!:

Due to NID resolver not working or some other Problem in 3.95 GEN-2... Sleep mode alarm works but Poweroff Alarm DOESNOT work, works perfectly in all other CFW (also tested on 3.40 OE-A Timemachine). It might be due to a change in 3.95 FW itself; can't tell.

1) Try Pressing Left Arrow and Report back the two values what it says in 3.95 GEN or GEN-2.

Because I switched back to 3.90 M33-2, I never had a chance to check the return code.

2) If anything is displayed in the 2nd line on the top left, After waking up from sleep mode. Please report it.

Custom Sleep Mode Alarm Sounds:

-> Just place your favorite mp3 sound file as Alarm.mp3 in the folder.

How to use/Controls:

LTRIGGER - Time Display mode
RTRIGGER - Alarm Set mode

CIRCLE - Set alarm
UP / DOWN - Change alarm time
TRIANGLE - Slows down alarm time setting.
SQUARE - Set current time +1 minutes.

Start - Sleep Mode alarm (MP3)(if Alarm Set)
Select - Poweroff Alarm (if Alarm Set)

Last minute Notes:

-> Anything I might have forgotten will we updated in the Release thread.
-> Complete Source Code along with Alarm library will be released soon.
-> I ended up doing ICON0.png myself, also the background file of the app.

Hardware Alarm Power Off Alarm Support Plugin v1.0.11

The way this works is checks to make sure, the current time matches the alarm time in ms0:\seplugins\HAPowerOff Support.305, which gets set by Hardware Alarm Interface main.

Built with the same CORE as TimeBaby Alarm Helper plugin -- Hence looks similar

Installation Notes:

1) Copy included files to seplugins or the entire seplugins folder to Memory Stick Root.

2) Enable in Recovery under plugins.

Uses intraFont by Benhur (psp-programming.com/benhur) - A great font system!
Uses pgeWav by Insomniac197 (http://insomniac.0x89.org/)

-Enjoy.

I would appreciate if these get filed under Hacks & Exploits section.

Having 3 psps sometimes makes you feel bad for not playing them all. Using this application(or time baby) makes ones of my psps turn into a 169.99USD clock. I even have a wall hanging clasp to hold my psp up on the wall like a clock.

Was that a criticism, I doesn't look like it
Thanks

I need confirmation that this works (including Poweroff and Sleep Mode alarm) on PSP Slim & Light.

sorry I havent actually tried out this application, so I can not give any feedback. But I was expressing my need for applications like this. And I do get tired of the 24 hour clock on Timebaby.

Ok tested on my slim 3.90m33 and my classic 3.52m33 psp's both worked like a charm. Only thing i can see as a problem was there was no way to turn off the alarm once it started other than exiting the app. Wich is a pain for ppl like me that wanna be able to reset the alarm to get ten more mins of sleep, or have to wake up multipule times during the night. So plz add a option to be able to turn off and reset the alarm without exiting the app or add snooz functionality or better yet both.

is it possible to include a 24h basedclock in the next update? Like the xmb has, a way to switch between the both clocks.
If you live in a country where 24 clocks are the standard, am/pm can become confusing at times.

Yes... 24hr clock is infact EASIEST

I achieved it back around v1.0.10 , the earliest test versions.
24Hr -> 12hr is a lot more complicated, it consumed lot of version numbers

It's easy but ... MP3 will play 'broken' with hisses.... Once I master the mp3 ME based buffering and playback, I'll release it.

Remember, I said, I would do it in free time. 1st part is done , source will be out after tomorrow, due to other personal non-psp related activities.
Thanks for that

Are you on 3.95 GEN or GEN-2?

Downgrade to 3.90 M33.

Arrow In response to NeilR's comment "Time Baby+" & "added 3.xx support"

http://pspupdates.qj.net/PSP-Hardwar.../49/aid/121200

Quote:
"It's not really a "finding". Wake up from sleep mode is built into a similar app by Art named "Time Baby". The difference here is that Mr305 has 3.x support."
NeilR should have atleast awaited until I released the source before making any judgements.
This is what I call making a serious criticism, without putting any thought.

There are two ways to achieve what Timebaby does and Hardware Alarm Interface does. The final result is exactly the same, however,

Onto the tech side:

One way is to use sceRTC service's 0x7D1FBED3 sceRtcSetAlarmTick. (Timebaby's method)
The other is to directly use the functionality of the Syscon.

I discovered a way to write directly write alarm in seconds.(Which will become available once I release the source AS I STATED)Where as sceRTC's method uses ticks, which is cumbersome.

Like I told at ps2dev and here on QJ a few hundreds of posts back (If I have access to all of my post archives, I can dig that post...), my method is definately ONE STEP ABOVE.

I told this too, sceRTC imports from sceSyscon_Driver to set the alarm. My method is like the BIG DADDY, Timebaby's alarm method inherits Alarm functionality from the way it is directly done in Hardware Alarm Interface.

Proof:

Actually, I had no intentions to release this app but these circumstances showed me some motivation:

1) Recently I upgraded to 3.95 GEN-2 and it doesn't have 1.5 Kernel Addon. I missed using TimeBaby and specifically it's alarm functionality... So I decided I SHOULD code one that runs on every Kernel and Every PSP
2) MK2K wanted this too.

No disrespected intended to either Art, NeilR or Adrahil or me

I didn't intend my post to be in any way a criticism of you or your program nor did I state that I think you had stolen code or something like that. I apologize if you've misinterpreted my post but I think you've read too much into a simple statement (a statement which is in essence true; sleep mode + wake up = done before). Anyways.. I can delete my comment if you want; no big deal to me.

Adrahil gave me the power alarm functionality for Time Baby.

I was never going to bother making it run on the slim,
so it's all good that someone has made an alarm that doesn't use the battery
