Yes but it uses the same seeds and keys (as far as I know) as 4.00 so he didn't really add anything. Except usb support.

It means that in previous RSPSar Dumper versions you can not decrypt 4.05 Eboot (error in common table) now you can.
try to decrypt 4.05 eboot.pbp with RSpsar dumper 3.3 for example if you don't believe in me...

Yes, but you say you did the "4.05 decryption", that isn't true, you use the same code as the 4.00 RSPsardumper and simply added 4.05 to the firmware list it needs to decrypt with it. You could say you added 4.05 support, but not the decryption.

Sorry but I'm not english and for me the words "support" or "decryption" are the same thing, i don't understand the sense of your post ^^''
With decryption I mean that files can be correctly extracted from the eboot, like this tool does...
However, at the end, in the news I wrote "support" and in program "decryption" (but only because all previous lines told so...).
However if it is a great issue for you, you can change it (it is an open source program)
Oh, and if this mistake have brought nuisance to someone, I'm apoligize

And sorry again for my very bad english, but to use a language different from the one used every day is not a very easy thing ^^''

You're using the same keys and seeds that Eugene found in 4.00, you just increased the buffer size and added 4.05 to firmware list to use the 4.00 seeds. Eugene spend quite some time finding these seeds in the updater, and now you take credit for the "decryption", rather then just adding support.
I am quite sure Red_Squirrel could have done it as well - I mean, he has added a lot of new firmwares into the list of dump-able firmwares.

I seriously don't think he is trying to steal credit from anyone, - what a ridiculous thought - and it was actually just a language problem.

He wouldn't be able to, the firmwares he added personally are 3.90, 3.93, 4.01 and 4.05, which didn't have any change to the keys and seeds for decryption.
All others which required major changes to seeds, keys and compression (which is quite some hard job) weren't done by him.

3.80: New keys, seeds and compression (HX & Robert Mertz did it)
3.90: Same keys/seeds (RS did it)
3.93: Same keys/seeds (RS did it)
3.95: New keys (Miriam did it)
4.00: New seeds (Eugene did it)
4.01: Same keys/seeds (RS did it)
4.05: Same keys/seeds (RS dit it)

Ehi boys, if it is a great problem you can change that line in the program from decryption in support if there is all this difference!
And Magixien, I leave this homebrew so now your misterious devs will have the complete control of the program, don't worry... oh, and only to precise, I release this version about 1 HOUR before PSPGen made the news of eugene. it's only to be precise
However I have already said that it was been a my mistake, so you will can change that line in future version, there is no problem, it was been only a my mistake of understanding and language.
I don't want credits for what i haven't made! I never made it (taking creditis for what i haven't made) and i don't want to begin now. So ALL future devs have my personal consense to change taht line from decryption to support, there is NO problem from me

np, they are right, if there was a mistake was right that they reported to me.
However unfortunately now the error was made, I make all you my apologies.
Naturally, I updated my official website to communicate the mistake too, over this and to make you again my apologies I really do not know what to do.

For some reason the program still says that the USBHost module could not be loaded.

Any ideas?

Geez some people sure are sensitive. What's with all the drama? Seriously if you are not the original author yourself then you really got no reason to complain (especially over a single silly word in the text description).

If the original author has a problem with it, he/she can speak for themselves. If they have a problem with it (they could care less about something so trivial), they can take it up with Red_Squirrel himself privately (in a PM, email, msn, etc.). If they don't have a problem with it then neither should you.

Complaining about here will do nothing but only cause drama.

STFU. You're complaining. You're trying justify that standing up for an original developer is a bad thing.

Firstly, there is absolutely no need to flame. That is just plain immature. If you wish to disagree with my opinions please do so in a civilised manner.

Now, the point I was trying to make was to reduce drama on these forums. It increases the clutter in threads, increases the tension between posters, and brings people into the argument whom have nothing to do with actual issue. This could easily be settled privately instead (in PM's, email's, etc) where an agreement could be made between Red_Squirrel and the orginal author himself.

If this forum was the pub I'm the customer just trying to enjoy a peaceful beer asking the guys to "take it outside" (and now you jump in trying to throw a punch at me for doing so!).

I downloaded it because I want custom firmware to be able to play a .cso file I downloaded, and it's the only one I found for the 4.05 update.

I put all the files onto my psp, and downloaded the update off of the site, then tried to put it multiple places as multiple names, but I keep getting the same error code.

"The game could not be started. (80020148)"

I looked up the code, and it said "Unsupported PRX type".

What am I doing wrong? Also, will this allow me to play .cso files?

What firmware are you currently on? As far as the iso/cso questions, we are unable to help you due to our piracy policy. Thanks for understanding.

Official firmwares cannot run homebrew applications. You'll have to create a Pandora's Battery or buy one online to downgrade.
