I'm having a problem. I put the RECOVERY folder inside of the GAME folder, and put the Sony 3.71 update (named 371.PBP) inside of RECOVERY. When I start Hellcat's Recovery 1.60, it freezes at the screen saying that the author accepts no responsibility for any issues. The top left of the screen says "loading" and I can't do anything, every thing freezes. Any help?

Hey guys! Please help me, im in a big pinch. After updating from 5.00 m33-6 to 5.50 GEN-B trough GEN-A, i cannot downgrade my PSP(note:its a 1000, also fat)back to 5.00. After launching the recovery flasher, right after the "loading..." it complains about some prx-es missing, but it goes away too fast to be able to read it. Right, im in the app, but i cannot do anything, 'cause if i try to flash 5.00 it says this:
Code:
Unassigning flashs... FATAL: Error 0x8002013a while unassigning flash0: WARNING: Error 0x8002013a while unassigning flash1 * Disabling settings format, clearing registry! Weird: Error 0x8002013a while unassigning flash2 Weird: Error 0x8002013a while unassigning flash3 Extracting special updater .PRX... Yeah... took a look on Dark_Alex's forums, and found a thread around this. They also suggested the same, but i'd like to try every possibility to avoid the use of Pandora battery. I have a fake MS, however with a tutorial and FakeCard, i could turn it into a MMS. After that, i made my battery in recovery into Pandora, but i see no difference. My PSP boots up like it ever did. If i try pressing L trigger while booting, my psp freezes with black screen, and after ten seconds or so, it turns off itself. I have to get a "real" pandora and a legit MSProDuo? If so, i'll be fine with this... Seriously, i don't know why did the GEN team **** it up so hardly. I assume, that it has something to do with the new CFW-checker(in Evangelion:Jo) hack, that makes HBs unable to write(even read?) the flashes. Just an idea, might post at their forums

Already tried, but as i mentioned below, i think it has something to do with the new anti-CFW hack. I don't have a pandora battery, nor a valid MS, so i'm gonna wait for an update that'll fix this hopefully.
Here's the topic on Dark_Alex's forum, but as said, there's no other way to flash back, but to use pandora... |

Just download 5.00m33-6, and 5.00 EBOOT. Check the readme.txt supplied with 5.00m33-6 for instructions on installation. Also, welcome to the forums.

Are you sure you renamed the EBOOT to exactly "500.PBP" without quotes? Double-check. If it is correctly named, then try to download the EBOOT again. It maybe corrupted. What do you mean by "m336", you shouldn't place any file in the RECOVERY folder except the 500.PBP. That's it.

Lastes 5.50 GEN-B2 update fixes the problem with Recovery Flasher on PHAT PSPs. Just checked, and had no problems with going back to 5.00 M33-6 with RF 1.60. Without this fix I had errors like mentioned above.

I just downloaded this.
I thought it would make me happy. But my problem is: I own a PSP FAT. I haven't used it in a year because it was bricked (m33 recovery menu available) I found this program so I thought let's try it. Since this program doesnt require a pandora battery. I made a MMS and put the RECOVERY directory in /PSP/GAME/ Downloaded original 3.71 and 4.01 and 5.00 and renamed them to 371.pbp 401.pbp 500.pbp. Put those in the recovery folder too wich already had an eboot.pbp. went into config in recovery menu. Enable autorun. Clicked: Run program at: /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP Normally it should get a loading screen as I have seen on youtube. But I get nothing... Black screen... Light in background. Green light active. After few seconds my PSP just turns off. What did I do wrong? |

The updates (400.pbp etc) need to go at the root of your MS.

Ok I deleted the files on my memstick and manually made the PSP folder in the root and put a GAME folder in the PSP folder.
I move the RECOVERY folder into the GAME folder. Tried it like that with the EBOOT.PBP, 371.PBP, 401.PBP and 500.PBP in the RECOVERY folder. Just like Laryr said... Started it didnt work... Black screen lights on the background. Green light active.. After few seconds PSP shuts down... Then I tried Slasher101's advice and moved the Firmware files out of the RECOVERY folder. And put them on the ROOT of my memstick alongside the PSP folder. And still the same... Started it didnt work... Black screen lights on the background. Green light active.. After few seconds PSP shuts down... What's wrong with my PSP? |
