Default [RELEASE] Ball Re-Revamped 4 (Ball Revamped Clone)

In an effort to get all my old, dead projects out, here is the first significant coding project I ever attempted:

    ------------------------------------------------------------------

This is an unofficial clone of "Ball Revamped 4: Amplitude" by jmtb02 studios (jmtb02.com)

Play the original game at www.jmtb02.com/flash/ballrevamped4.htm

    They though of it,
    They deved it,
    it was great

    Installation:
Copy the "Ball ReRevamped 4" folder to "PSP/GAME" or "PSP/GAME150" on your PSP.

    Notes:
    • This clone uses RIPPED media from the original flash game. They were initially just placeholders, but then this project died and I wanted to get it out. Sorry John Cooney, please don't sue.
    • Since this still uses the old luaplayer 0.16 for speed, it requires the 1.5 kernel. If you want, you could try running it with a modded luaplayer, but it probably won't run full-speed.
    • There are only 29 levels, and there is no saving or level codes. As I said, this never got finished.
    • If people are going to start sharing levels, be careful on which levels you run. Since they're straight dofiles, they could potentially harm your files and your PSP. (Though theoretically the worst they could do is delete files on your MS)
    • Since about 90% of the code was written when I was a lua n00b, it is messy, inefficient and unorganised.
    • You can use whatever you want from the code for whatever you want, but I would appreciate you not bytecoding it and giving me a shout as to what it will be used for.

    Credits:
    • jmtb02 Studios for the original flash game
    • Students of Game Design for collision code
    • thehumanchimp from board.flashkit.com for collision code
    • Merick for Gu Image Blitting code
    • cancan for his LUA port of the danzeff OSK
    • Danzel for his OSK
    • The developer/s of luaplayer 0.16 (Shine and Nevyn)

Nicely done, Nielkie! It seems the PSP version is a bit harder than the flash version (gravity is stronger).

Really? To me it just feels that the d-pad/analog stick is not accurate enough. (One thumb on a near-flat surface doesn't come close to the com-fort (Why is co****t censored?) of 3 figures on direction keys)

If I ever get around to cloning one of the other games in the series, I'm toying with the idea of having the PSP held vertically. (So you can manipulate the directional keys or face buttons like direction keys.
