Here's a new update every one hopefully is going to like!
I decided I would enter PSP UPDATES Homebrew Contest 2008 and this is the entry ![]() Ever wanted an Alarm application that looks neat and does it’s job perfectly? Look no further, because this is it. ![]() This is an Alarm application which utilizes the PSP's Hardware Capabilities, setting an Alarm that will wake up the PSP from either Sleep Mode or Powered Off (standby) mode. It is compatible with ALL PSP's including Slim & Light. Since the early stages of this applications development, the main motive has been ease of use and a clean, appealing interface. ![]() Main Features: + Internet Time Synchronization with NIST Time Servers You can check Time sync'ed time check time against OFFICIAL US Government Time Here: http://www.time.gov/timezone.cgi?Eastern/d/-5/java It will match up to the second! (If you are in the Eastern Time Zone based on config_hasuite.ini) ![]() + Currently the only Alarm Application compatible with ALL PSP’s including PSP SLIM. + Sleep Mode Alarm with support for custom MP3 Audio file. + Power Off Mode Alarm that plays sound in XMB with support for Cutom Sound; Consumes virtually 0% POWER + 12/24 Hr Time Formats + Fully Compliant with DAY TIME PROTOCOL (RFC-867) with support for Daylight / Standard + More Accurate time keeping than XMB’s DNAS service, with Network Delay compensation; automatically adjusts for network delays of transmission from server. + Display's Hour's and Minutes remaining as the Alarm time is being set; updated in real time. + Alarm can be set up to 23 hours 59 minutes in future. + Alarm Accurate to the Second. + Streamlined, extremely easy to use interface. + Shows Seconds & Milliseconds; + Aligned Time Display (Constant Length). + Checks to make sure if an alarm was already set last time, if so, sets the alarm to that time. Reads time from ms0:/seplugins/HAPoweroffSupport.305 if it exists. Quote:
Read Config_Hasuite.ini and do changes EXACTLY as stated. How to use: Simply Follow the OSD. Screens: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Read the README's! I would appreciate if these were filed Under Hacks & Exploits Section DOWNLOAD (comes with Poweroff Alarm Support plugin )-Enjoy, Mr305

I've been using HAS ever since the first version came out. Basically, I am waken up from Monday-Friday using your program and so far it is really one of the best alarms there are for the PSP.
The only problem I have though is that there is no snooze button still. Is this a feature you plan to add in the future? I think if you could add this it would completely replace my real alarm clock. Good job so far, though, and good luck with the competition.

No, it just loads the sound of the alarm i the XMB if you use Poweroff mode. The sleep mode will make your PSP go to sleep then return from sleep mode with the application still there.

Yeah, a really nice application... The only thing I'm wondering is how to set up a custom alarm. I saw the image, and I do own Goldwave. The only thing I'm wondering is the specifications of the file. Does it HAVE to have that 1 second silence to actually work, or is that just so that we don't have it start a second into the song? Also, must it be only 3 seconds long? I haven't been able to get anything on the XMB but what I assume to be the default alarm sound. And one more question: you said it allows for a custom Mp3 file, but in the picture, it's saved as Raw. Perhaps I'm being someone of a noob, as they say, about this, but I can't figure it out... By the way, the coolest thing would be for it to have the ability to file-browse for a mp3 file to use as the alarm, without having to USB mode re-save as Alarm, etc.
But, I do want to end off by saying that it's an extremely nice app. Very well structured... A lot better than that time baby thing, in my opinion. -=Double Post Merge =- Whoops.. Sorry, my bad.. I meant to mention that putting my PSP into sleep mode, rather than a power off boot into XMB results in the mp3 file playing, but at a slow rate... Sounds very weird.... I am from eastern time zone too. (US). I will just try using Time Sync and post you the results. (This has been EXTENSIVELY tested for any error or miscalculations )EDIT(Under two minute from making this POST): I just tested it. Time now is 10: 18 PM. Used Time sync; Sets time to 10:18 ![]() EDIT 2: Set time to RANDOM 1:27 AM and still works perfectly! You can Time sync'ed time check time against OFFICIAL US Government Time Here: http://www.time.gov/timezone.cgi?Eastern/d/-5/java It will match up to the second!

does it have anything to do with the psp's internal clock? becuase myne was way offf, then i set it via the internet and then started up and it was right on.
however, when i set the alarm, the time changed drastically......and then i reset it within HA Suite via the internet and it changed again to an incorrect time. Maybe i'm using it wrong, but when i set the alarm, what happens? is the alarm time shown in the upper corner with the current time in teh center or visa versa. either way im not sure why myne is still incorrect. and thanks for the quick reply

Okay... Weird... So I was getting a weird error flashing across the screen (shoot... Maybe I should've copied it down and let the creator know.. Sorry), so I re-copied everything over. Then I tried copying a un-altered song into the folder named as alarm. Everything worked fine with a sleep boot into the actual application, with the song playing at a normal rate. When I tried a power-down, and then boot into XMB mode, however, it only had the alarm noise going off, with the picture of the green clock pasted over the XMB. I'm happy about the sleep mode working, but does anyone have any ideas on the shutdown mode? I'm gonna look into a bit more and see if I can get it working...

Prolly ofw. Every since Christmas a lot of noobs got psp's as Christmas gifts. There has been an epidemic of ppl saying stuff like (I tried using a app but it says game cannot be started, by the way I'm on 5.02)
Any way what version should i be useing 1727 or 1730, I have been using 1730 every thing works. But you seem to be pushing a earlier version 1727, why? |
