I won't be downloading this solely because DRM is being used when the software the DRM is "protecting" is built by open source tools developed by volunteers. Frankly, it's sickening.

Glad it works, had me thinking i may have a time issue with the time zones as I am in the UK.

This release was delayed to the 1st November but felt it would be best to release as is, the only reason for 1st november was to add a lot more levels and look at the sound and possible background music.

I am looking at replacing DRM with MD5 + Limited Activation Time.

I am only protecting my work from those who would take credit for my work by adding his/her name to one of the PNG files as I have designed it for users to provide their own look.

So using DRM to do this that sickening ?

    It is sickening, yes.

There will always be people who can't do things themselves and try to steal it from others. However, this is the small minority. xart, I never liked you. Let's be honest. However this little move you are making defies all logic. The SDK is a free, open source tool to aid in the development of community driven applications. There is no money to be made, no one to protect from. By releasing the application yourself you are proving to us that you made it. I know it, everyone else who reads this will know it. If some kid tries to take it and pass it off as his to his buddy, so be it. Don't worry about those very few people. Do not aggravate the majority by adding pointless "DRM" to an application to fight off the very small minority. You are just hurting your own reputation by doing so.

I didn't download it because it contains DRM.

Shame, because it looks like a semi-decent game.

This is a homebrew community, DRM has a place and this is not it.

If someone steals your work, shame them for it, don't try to protect yourself from it.

[EDIT] Good job on removing the DRM :)

I concluded with all the shout of the first homebrew Lonpos having DRM every one knows that XArt developed Lonpos for the PSP.

And now most likely get hyped about removing it.
I am sorry it upset most of you for adding DRM but I only intended it to protect my work.

if you want to protect your work, why not add resources into the eboot itself so no newbie will think about editing it

hes just over protective of his work (really over protective) and he does stupid things lol. But his developing skills are cool and this game is really sweet.
Only a few people try to steal programs and take credit and crap, a lot of people don't.

I took out DRM and still users like eldiablov are complaining, I give up

"I don't think I can do Snake & Tetris for free as it seem like charging will make user more happy."
Is some protection to prove the true developer of a software so wrong these days?

Just put aded a little protection to protect the work, the GSV is just to prove who developed the game, remove data.gsv and all is revealed, but dosn't stop one hosting it on another server or sharing it to friends.

That is all GSV is doing, it has low security just enough to prove if needed by anytime that I am the deveoper.

NOT DRM renamed, the DRM was so restricted only I could host the files.
Strange way to go about credits, I must say. Why don't you just bin2c the data.gsv?

data.gsv needs to be external as the timestamp changes.
could embed all the resources, but then users can't customize it.
or could simply add credit on screen and spoil my clean look, I hate seeing credits all over the screen but may be the only option that every one is happy with.

So looks like I will simply add credits to the screen and drop DRM & GSV all together.

    OK, back to Lonpos
What would you all say about adding Themes and a Level Creator in Lonpos

Also watch the first post as I will be hosting the Photoshop template files for Lonpos designs
