Easy Spoof V.1 BETA
ONLY for 5.00 M33-3

Easy Spoof is a simple tool that allows you to spoof your firmware version.
Just to be clear what this does: It does NOT actually change your firmware, just the firmware version display in the XMB, under "System Settings/System Information".

NOTE: You must install Easy Spoof to the GAME5XX folder, or it will refuse to start ;)

This is BETA V.1 - I will probably update in the future to allow more than 8 characters to be used in firmware spoofs.

Much thanks to Super Sheep & Matchung who made writing this a million times easier... SONY has now dynamically stored 2 characters in the firmware string within vshctrl.prx, which had me a little confused when i first began to write this... THANKS GUYS !!

It was the same in 4.01 aswell, the dynamic updating.

Thanks - I've never felt like these firmware spoofers would be useful but if I ever need to prove my friends that 5.00 X3R was actually finished, I'll consider using this.

- about the 5.00 X3R part, I'll give this a try though :)

Eh... vshctrl.prx is an M33 module, not Sonys I think.

basically im asking because i read about the account suspensions that has been happening when going on to the psn store

what i wanted this program for was to change the fw name back to 5.00 to make it look official.

I would suggest Davee's unlimited character spoofer.
It is more dynamic than this - as it allows you to also spoof you MAC Address, and allows unlimited characters. ;)
