No problem xD

I must say I love this plugin. Apart from loads of my dev tools I have only 3 apps. This made it into it.

Me using someone elses plugin is rare xD
Thanks

last time i checked, im was sure the music category can read through folders, this is all this does, so really your losing a feature (the icons which someone previously requested sub-cat as xmb icon)

also does the psp no even have a music order thing, if not just place them in folders and your sorted
-=Double Post Merge =-
ok

ive just check this out
and ive got a list of features id like to see, all easily doable, apart from one, but i doubt if you would have any trouble with it

basically
1. track button presses, this is so you can tell if you over the game icon, remember if a umd is inserted then this adds 2 more icons, so youll have to detect that

2. once over the game icon, use R/L Trigger to change the category

3. have the name of the category, change the text of the Game icon, so it becomes Game: AnyCategory (this may not do much in some custom themes, as sometimes the text is written onto the image, but they can still use the vshmenu, and i think this is well worth it)

4. hook the buttons so if you change categories while the menu is opened, it will perform a macro to re-enter the Game Icon

this could make it look a lot more professional, quicker and easier to use, and set it apart from all others

if you have any interest in this, please reply so i dont get my hopes up

thanks

This is an amazing App thanks so much!

Just wondering though if there is any way to organise what order the icons come up in the XMB when show all is selected? (without putting all my files back on)

And also, is there a way to set a default category to be active when the PSP starts up, so say without having to select anything only your Homebrew shows up in the game menu?

The PSP can only read 1 folder deep into Music

I was suggesting something that reads the ID3 Tags and allows music to be sorted by Artist, Genre, Album, ect... (Ah La PS3)

EDIT: I am now using this plugin
This is undoubtedly the most useful plugin ever written !! (I have a 16 Gb memory stick that was begging for some organization)

THANKS AGAIN !!

Nice job, Bubbletunes~! I'm getting this up on the front page as I speak... errr, as I type... errr, whatever. LOL!

Wonder what MK2k's got to say about this though. For what it's worth, I think both of you guys are amazing!

"And quite simply, both plugins are equally just as fab."

I don't entirely agree with this. I don't think how a plugin that renames the folders and one which hooks the IO can be equal in "fabby-ness". Hooking is much more elegant than renaming the folders and more skill full.

Also, I've seen the source of the satelite hooking and its insane. You can only take my word for it.

Appswitcher is great, and I thank MK2k for his contribution, but vshmenu integration > folder renaming.

Definitely this is the one I'm gonna use, I'm against constantly renaming (writting) my ms.

Is there an option to hide all? Would be useful to only display iso files. Or even better, an ISO category itself.

An another thing, any chances for the source to be released? I'm very curious about the driver patching you are doing (even though I won't probably understand a thing).

Wouldn't creating a CAT_ISO folder do just that?

1. create a folder called CAT_ISO in ms0:/ISO and put all your backups in there.
2. In vshmenu slecte , game-category->ISO

that should do it

Hey there, nice work on this one we got now 2 (or better 3 with ChangeD) plugins serving almost the same purpose
I hope you keep up the updates of it as i read that the users NEED 5.00 M33-3 or higher and when a new CFW gets released there maybe is some need for manual updating the build.
However, cheers for creating a plugin that has been asked since months (if I can believe what others said to me at least), I crack open a beer now and chill a bit

Yes, it's due to the VshMenu patches, although VshMenu barely changes between firmwares (except for the NIDs, but they won't change any addresses), so it won't be needed to frequently. Bad luck was that it changed in M33-3, it seems Dark_AleX resized some buffer, I haven't looked further in to it as it's all working fine, so oh well.

Will try it, anyway I've jsut realized that isos are hidden and only showing at the uncategorized/show all sections, so that will make the trick for me (uncategorized).

I dunno how have I been living without this, it's extremely useful!

EDIT: yes, it also works under the ISO dir! I need to try under ISO/VIDEO and if psx games work even when the category holding them isn't under psp/game (I think that won't work).

Any chance of a non-VSHmenu version coming out? So that it won't be firmware-version specific, also for those who don't use the VSHMenu?

I'm still on 4.01 and I don't want to upgrade just yet :P

Great work though

I don't usually post here, but I have to say... Brilliant. Was going to try making a similar plugin myself... But I'm glad someone else did it as I'm nowhere near up to the task

Will try this out later

Good luck on future updates.

Pretty cool

Works nicely, but I'm trying to use it to hide all my flashing/filemanagement utils from the menu so that other people playing with my PSP don't screw it up. This would work fine except it defaults to Show All every time.. pretty please can the next version have a configurable default, or persist the setting, or even just default to Uncategorised or a category called Default or something?

Thanks a lot!

Doesn't work with M33-4. It breaks the VSHMenu
Now my apps aren't categorized anymore. This is a double

Hm yeah that's what I was a bit worried of, you rely strongly on updates...
But ok, DAX added a new feature to the vshmenu with m33-4, so maybe updates aren't always necessary.

Yeah, they usually aren't. This is just a rare case that satelite has been modifed.
